He wouldn't really be worth anything, sorry alternative. Decent fielding, but his bowling is too low, as are his secondaries. You'd be better off firing him. In terms of your other problem, it can take a long time for a trainee to improve their skills (up to 12, 13 weeks depending on the age and the amount of nets), so you really just need to be patient. It takes time, but with a few good trainees, some good buys off the transfer market, and a few good YPs, you can get a pretty decent team together. I was absolutely hopeless my first season (and most of the second as well, to be honest), but it's improving a lot now.

Won my game pretty easily, although I just noticed we gave away 30 extras, including 22 leg byes. Not too pleased with that.

Well thats 8 from 8 now in Div 4, hopefully i lose some matches soon cause id prob get owned in Div 3 if i promoted. Great batting effort from Kennedy and Jayasuriya with an opening stand of 400, would have been even more amazing if they both got to 200. I lost the toss and they chose to bowl first on my green pitch.

Okie. I was leaning towards him due to his age and respectable primary.

I wouldn't buy anyone with worthless stamina really. I tend to look for feeble+ stamina first (or a bit lower if you have room to train it), then primary, stamina and good conc/cons as a bonus, but not essential. I find bowlers with low consistency can do pretty well, same for batsmen with low concentration although they do tend to get out cheaply a lot.
