In Battrick related news, had a good win against the only non-bot team in my league. I was on PAN, for no other reason that I forgot to put it to TIE. Got some good ratings too.

FFFFEEEEEEWWWWW! Did I say it should be plain sailing from here on in?

I won, but only courtesy of the most bizarre contrived finish that I've ever seen in BT. When I last posted Dragnets were looking out of it on 86/3 after twenty, with two Comps at the crease, and the RRR spiraling. Well spiral it continued, right until the point when they required 7.40, at which stage the sleep-walking batsmen woke up and pasted my bowling all round the place. To cut a long story short they went into the last ten needing 71 with six wickets in hand, the last five needing 28 with five wickets in hand...And somehow they managed to lose. I'm ashamed to say that I'd given up and gone outside for a fag in disgust. But much to my chagrin, when I returned to my office, I found that Bewers had bowled a spell of 1.4/1/4/5, and I'd won by 23 runs!!! And all this after he'd gone for 39 off 7 in his opening spell?!?!

I'm chuffed with the win, as I'm as good as up now, or as up as you can ever be when BT has surprises like that up it's sleeve, but I can't help but feel a little bit sorry for Dragnets, especially when you look at the ratings. Their middle order went up two levels, so presumably they GFId too. But their top order was three levels higher than my seam, and one high than my spin, and I blew them away at the start.

Thought I was going to win this one, actually even though the Soupforks racked up 360, we were out of the blocks like anything with Omardeen racing to 50 off just 31 balls. Fading club legend Abdul Kadir looked uncomfortable, and has looked out-of-his-depth this whole season in Div iii. However, getting back to the match, Omardeen and Thorp looked good, however Soupfork's LM bowler, Ahmed dashed all my hopes picking up Omardeen, Abdul Kadir the younger, and Thorp all in one over. After that it was a procession, Though Gerry Sam did offer some resistance with a 69-ball 58.

Bit sad after that loss actually.

In the other CW-related clash in the league, there were no tall scores like Soupforks'. In fact, Vinayak XI were skittled out for 33 in their innings, and when we chased the total down in 5 overs, the match was already over, and it hadn't even reached its 25th over.

TIE yet again gave me fantastic ratings, and this was without my best batsman!

Well that result just shows the gap between me and the team belowm me, Keskrand were coming 4th before this match, im coming 3rd. Because of this i decided to keep my all rounder Muralitharan, with abysmal stamina and secondaries, cus i don't need him to play to next season and all rounders cost too much.

Very happy with the performances of my two new signings Sangera and Quintin. Hopefully they will both pop to respectable before my match against the team comming 2nd, so i have a chance of winning.

Also it good to see my keeper batsmen, Clayton scoring some runs even if it was only 35. Hopefully after a few more batting and consentration pops, he can become a pretty important part of my batting line up.

I really would like a friendly this week, so if anyone wants one just challenge the Jets, or post here and i'll challenge. I don't really mind how good you are, cus im just experimenting with my batting line up ATM.
