Hehe oh yeah, my bad.

Not a very convincing start to my league game, was hoping to have things wrapped up fairly quickly. I'm bowling, and Heard just came back on and took two in two balls. Must say I've been a bit disappointed with Tedstone's efforts with the ball recently. Admittedly, he is playing with only 'fair' fitness, but all the same he's been a bit expensive of late. I might just play him as a batsman next game and see how he goes.

End of Over 24: 112-3, runrate=4.67
Heard 7-0-19-2
Hodge* 5 (7 balls)
Read 48 (50 balls)
Last Wicket: Hankin b. Heard 0 (FOW: 105/3)

Top of the table clash and hey batted first and are are now 7-191 in the 4nd over after Lovegrove just picked up a wicket

41.3 W Lovegrove to Sutherland
The ball rises off the length and it's a top edge. That's an easy catch for Wilkey.

With Lovegrove and Unsworth to bowl out the last time i should be able to restrict them.

two balls later

41.6 W Lovegrove to Hutchison
Hutchison hasn't quite got all of this one. Rock takes a comfortable catch in the deep. Lovegrove gets a breakthrough!

8-195 now.

Their innings is over now:

End of Over 44: 200-10, runrate=4.55
Lovegrove 6-3-17-5
Unsworth 7-1-26-3
Ewart* 0 (0 balls)

43.2 W Lovegrove to Denton
Wild swing by Denton, a haymaker. Pity he forgot to hit the ball. Wilkey takes off the bails and stumps him!

Hopefully i can chase this down and sit on top of the table

How odd. Chasing 252, Farmer (comp bat, comp stamina, feeble conc) is well outbatting Griffin (superb bat, comp stamina, med conc). Not that I'm complaining, mind, as it's Farmer's first hundred.

End of Over 32: 210-0, runrate=6.56, reqrunrate=2.39 (252-10)
Chanmugam 6-0-37-0
Griffin* 87 (86 balls)
Farmer 115 (106 balls)

Hmm... bit of a pity that I batted second, could've been looking at some decent scores for Griffin and Farmer against what appears to be pretty ordinary attack if I had the whole 50 overs. Griffin's average in this league has now gone to 657 :D

Anyway..

Hopefully i can push you more on Sunday, but that might be unlikey after i sold a couple of my better players to get in some trainees.

Pretty easy going for me so far:

End of Over 26: 175-0, runrate=6.73
Quintus 3-0-14-0
Ferrier* 78 (83 balls)
Nurse 90 (74 balls)

Update: Both my openers got centuries and another 200 run partnership, i think its there 3rd

End of Over 33: 222-0, runrate=6.73
Amarakoon 7-0-48-0
Ferrier* 107 (104 balls)
Nurse 103 (96 balls

EDIT: Update:

We finished off scoring 3/342 off our 50 overs, Phil Nurse my opener got his highest score 137. My keeper batsmen Doug Clayton also got his HS, 30(22)*, nice to see him finally scoring some runs. Might keep him at four against the crap side in my league.

Good win today against a reasonable opponent.

Bowling poor as usual, but batting was quite Superb for the first time. This guy is also a friend from school, which makes it that little much better

Cruising to victory here. Gazza's Lads 147 A/O, a commendable effort compared to some of the teams in my league. Edworthy led the way with 6/23.

Currently 91/1. Mullins will be kicking himself for failing to fill his plate from the buffet table, getting caught off a skyer at Long-On for 12, but Bennett is closing in on his first competitive half century, and Patel is also making hay in the thirties.

SO Hopefully Greening won't have to bat today, and can conserve PFL for The Big One next Friday! BTW the only reason I selected him was because he's a Prof fielder, nothing to do with his Sup bat, it wouldn't have made a difference if he was a Feeb bat, as I wasn't planning on getting that far down the order. But as it went, Greening's name was only mentioned once in the commentary, and that was for a misfield!!
