Does anybody know if pitches make that much difference?

Changing my pitch to Dusty so in 5 weeks when i play the current leader ill attempt to play down the affect of his seamers

Dusty won't really nullify seamers, it'll just make it a bit better than usual for spinners, which seeing as you don't have any spinners isn't going to be advantageous to you. If his seamers are really that good then you should use a flat pitch, or H+F if you've got some faith in your batsmen.

Well i have a rather weak bowling attack and a reasonably strong batting attack. He has a few good seamers and one or two good batsmen. So by setting the pitch to dusty i can nullify the effect of his seamers.

I should have him if i can get my orders right, he seems to bat all his good batsmen in his middle order. so if i bowl one of my worse bowlers i might be able to keep his crap top order in!

But since my bowlers suck, wouldn't it be to his advantage if it was a H+F

I might try flat then.

hard and fast just means that the ball comes onto the bat faster, and in theory should disappear to all corners faster. in theory it shouldn't really offer any assistance to opposition bowler

In my experience with H and F the better batting side wins 9 times out of 10. So unless his bowlers are infinitely better than your batsman, it'll probably be reasonably close.

Well... your bowlers do suck, but your batsmen are pretty good. Therefore, you're a batting team. Pretty simply really.

I guess I'd call my team a bowling team.

Strong/Prof/Resp/Resp/Resp.

Woah, didn't think it'd look that good.

Lol nice Sriram
What do you think of this guy:

Paul Bissmire - 19 yo, BT Rating=5,735
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, feeble bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with woeful leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: mediocre

If he was 17, he'd be a good buy. But at 19, the highest he'd get would be about proficient, whereas a 17 year old could get much higher.

Don't listen to them, lol.

He's pretty good, not good enough to match the good teams' high expectations, but yeah, he's pretty good.
