Nice start.

0.5 W Sugden to Canning
Canning's taken a massive swing at that one, but he swung too hard and ended up throwing the bat! Bowled!

End of Over 3: 18-1, runrate=6.00
Sugden 2-0-14-1
Fowler* 3 (4 balls)
Alves 9 (10 balls)

RR a bit high, but only 3 overs in :p

And thats high in the air, no problems for Gowshall at all. I'm not sure that celebration will go down well with the batsman though

That's their 3rd wicket down.

I got cricketing lesson today in the cup :(

Tribunehjelpen 3/343 (50)

smashed

Jaffna Jets 211 All Out

On a positive note my two new signings got 50s and my top order batting got a mediorce rating, which is good for me.

Anyone else out of the cup and want to play a friendly, i need some money bad, still in debt after the two new signings.

Pretty sure he'll be a low competent, so I'm selling him. I think that I'll wait until the middle of the season, then I will buy a new spinner, one that has potential and who can bat. from there, I sure hope my team will start charging towards division II. one my league game against a team who a nz nt player quite comfortably, despite coburn (bt rating - 230,000 something) scoring 83*, and then taking 0/10 off 10.

178 all out:)

In reply:

End of Over 10: 45-0, runrate=4.50, reqrunrate=3.35 (178-10)
Wylde 5-1-23-0
Nix* 31 (34 balls)
Carrington 10 (26 balls)

10.5 W Goosen to Carrington
Dead man walking! Plumb in front of middle stump. No argument there.

Gowshall comes in, having scored 252 runs for no score this season.

End of Over 15: 76-2, runrate=5.07, reqrunrate=2.94 (178-10)
Goosen 3-0-15-2
Gowshall* 15 (10 balls)
Hinshelwood 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Nix c. Canning b. Goosen 45 (FOW: 76/2)

14.6 W Goosen to Nix
Nix is beaten by the swing and gifts a thin edge to Canning.

Nice knock from Nix.

Just need to coast it home now.

Over 35: Twin 50's now, Gowshall and Hinshelwood going well.

36.1 W Goosen to Hinshelwood
Hinshelwood drove that powerfully back down the pitch and they took off for the single, pity it hit the bowler right in the gut and has spewed out onto the stumps. It's clearly a run out, but Goosen is still squirming on the ground. That had to hurt!

Field gets his chance to finish the match then.

My cup opposition:

Come on you Wolves
Top Order: proficient
Middle Order: feeble
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: proficient
Spin Bowling: competent
Fielding: feeble

I'll be out too then :p

I've got decent opposition but should beat them - especially if they lose their league game (which is difficult to call) and I win mine, I've got no great personal fitness level problems so I should be able to play a strong side.

Adamc

Cricketer Of The Year
Won my cup match easily enough, 368/2 (Malik 151*, Bell 133, Ashton 67) v 114/10 (Ryan 5-13). Cuss, Watkins, and Wynand were rested, and Malik didn't bowl. Next week's opponents should be pretty easy, but I might have to play a couple of my better players just to make sure:

Creole
Top Order: feeble
Middle Order: woeful
Lower Order: worthless
Seam Bowling: feeble
Spin Bowling: feeble
Fielding: woeful

Oh, and Malik finally popped from worthless to abysmal experience. Fairly important as he's captain.
