on saturday my side won quite a tense encounter with 3rd placed yodas yobos. I GFIed. Waddell (65), Hamshaw (39) and Lennon (79) were the key contributors as my side reached 257/8 from 50 overs. In reply I had them 42/3 before Oshea and Keen guided them through to 197/3 in the 41st over. Needing 61 off 57 with 7 wickets in hand, I figured the game was lost and that my hopes and dreams were in tatters. However, Jim Mutasa came into the attack and ripped Yodas to pieces. His second spell bought him figures of 16/5 off 4 overs finishing with 36/6. Yoda's were dismissed for 231 off 47 overs handing me a 26 run victory.
Yes, it was a GFI but still these are some dam fine ratings if you ask me.
so for the next 4 league matches, I'm hoping to TIE at least 3 times in preparation for round 14 when I face Portland Pilots, the winner will be crown champs of III.2 NZ.
and just to add to that, its the end of daylight savings here in NZ so games will start an hour earlier from now. just wish that daylight savings would start in the UK so that games will begin 2 hours earlier.
