yeh but i figured that having better ratings usually resulted in the win
That is generally the case, but the ratings you have the edge over are fairly insignificant overall.

Finally a friggin boundary in the slog overs, of course it's immediately followed by a dot ball. 263-3 off 43.4 overs.

lost by six wickets on the penultimate ball, dissapointing - next week i am up against top of the league so ill probably TIE. Completely messed up my bowling by accident meaning my spinner opened the bowling - and went for 72. And my best bowler (10-2-20-1) bowled 4th. Made 263-7 which was very dissappointing after putting on 225 for the first wicket. Magloire and Webster made tons. They needed 86 off the last 10

I'm TIEing it against the team 'adam' and I am tearing him up. I am currently 97/0 after ten overs, with Flahaven scoring his fifty off 25 balls. Ashton is currently 42 off 34.

Imagine if I did GFI....

Hamshaw was just dismissed for 107, his 10th career century but otherwise it's business as usual. Duggan has 129 and is nearing 900 runs for the season (866 so far). Hopefully Duggan can make a double century.

End of Over 34: 247-1, runrate=7.26
Croft 7-0-63-1
Duggan* 129 (106 balls)
Lennon 1 (4 balls)

This isn't quite business as usual:

Code:
End of Over 50: 403-3, runrate=8.06
Baker	10-0-86-2
Mckenzie*	1 (1 balls)
Harrison	80 (42 balls)

Last Wicket: Ashton b. Baker [b]179[/b] (FOW: 402/3)
I reckon I've got a good chance at winning this one  .

Pretty good effort from my batsmen. Duggan reaching the 190s for the second in his career, only to run out of overs... again. Pretty solid batting display on a TIE, albeit against a bot. Duggan moves to 919 runs so far this season. He won't be top, but he'll be right up there now. I think that it's probably safe to say that he is now my sides premier batsmen ahead of Seamus Hamshaw.

Whenuapai CC 382-1
Duggan 192no (156), Hamshaw 107 (96), Lennon 73no (50)

Holy Moley. His wages are gonna be even bigger at the start of the next season

Mutasa 4/24 (5), Holmes 3/27 (10), Sweeney 1/13 (5), Henshaw 1/3 (0.4)

That makes it 5/5 in the league. Should have it relatively easy next week, but the following week I take on NZ U19 player Jimmy Christie and the Portland Pirates in what should be one of the decisive games in deciding the title this season.

Won by 209 runs. They were going along quite well at one point - over 7 an over - but Lodge, one of my spinners, picked up 5-12 to make sure they didn't have a chance. Wilkes also bowled well.

I got a couple of tougher games ahead, and then I got one against Hagley Park Hooligan, a team which is by far and away the best in the league, and the only team that has beaten me so far.

Had another TIE win against a bot, didn't do as well as I would've liked but meh. Scored 335/2 then bowled them out for 195. Gillete 171, Bridge 124*, Pollock 5-29 and Gillespie 4-21.

Got reasonable ratings considering it was a TIE resting half my team including my best bat, best seamer and best spinner (competent/respectable/abysmal/proficient/mediocre/mediocre). Should get decent ratings on Sunday in the cup but there's little chance that I'll be able to match Borderliners.
