Fairly good training for me, fielding pops for Umar and Hasham, consistency for Hasham and Rehmatullah and fitness for Hasham.

I see Leeds United are on a bit of a spending spree, PY will be thrilled.

The guy's a nut, he must have about 14m in the bank but he's absolute crap at the moment and very lazy too. He bids on someone once then doesn't go back so if he gets outbid, he loses the player.

If he gets some of those guys though, our fixture will be amusing at the end of the season. :D

Well if you end up getting thrashed off a good team then there's no shame in that. It'd be worse if he had a team with mostly mediocre ratings and he beat you, that would be somewhat embarrassing really...

I still don't know what happened there, I didn't put stupid orders in either.

Just one of those blips really. :(

Obviously any extra stamina would be good and certainly not wasted on a fast bowling all-rounder, one of the most demanding (PFL-wise) types of player you could have. I see no reason at all why he shouldn't continue training in him in bowling at least as well as the stamina when appropriate. He's got good batting, stamina, fielding so you want to keep someone like that in your team and keeping his bowling up would do that.

But training a 21 year old who doesn't even have that high stats is a bit of a waste IMO. For high primaried players, I think it's justifiable to cope with the longer training times since there's quite a difference, in the larger picture, between an Exceptional and a Sensational, but the difference between Strong and Superb just doesn't justify another 15 weeks of training or so.

That said, who knows? Actually looking at his team, I think that maybe it would be worth getting him to superb.

Financially you'd get a very good return on one bowling net for that guy, would easily add at least half a million to his value for 15/16 nets it would take, so you're getting over 30k a net. The stronger your finished players are the better, because it costs so much to buy in decent players but you can still get YPs fairly cheap. His bowling also won't get superseded for ages if you train him a bit more and it'd be a shame to have all that batting, fielding etc. wasted because his bowling isn't good enough - especially given that new era YP bowlers tend to have worthless batting (and fielding).

Hirst has finally popped:

Code:
8. Vincent Hirst - 21 yo, BT Rating=29,799
LH Batsman, LF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A destructive player with superb leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: woeful Concentration: feeble
Bowling: [B]quality [/B]Consistency: quality
Fielding: woeful
I'm in two minds over whether to stop training him or not...might put the extra bowling net on to Gibb (19yo Strong/Strong) or Verma (19yo Strong/Resp with Resp/Feeble batting),

The thing is, being a destructive fast bowler, an extra level could come in very handy - the aforementioned 19yo's are on the cautious side.

Kieran Batt - 18 yo, BT Rating=7,857
LH Batsman, LF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A destructive player with competent leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: respectable Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: feeble

BT and HT were both pretty dead last night...must be something unforeseen, given that I don't think it tallies with the planned HT maintenance.

Allan's going to be kept busy while he's down in Aus watching the Ashes!
