Impressive start to the third term for the crows. Jericho has come on and gone forward and McLeod has gone on the ball and they've kicked two early goals. Much more open style of game now.

Ricciuto has kicked one now, make that 3. 1 goal in the whole first half, and 3 in 8 minutes to start the third.

22 points in it at 3/4 time. A couple of costly errors at the end of the quarter there, with Perrie missing an easy chance, Burton not handballing to Welsh for a sitter and missing one from the pocket, and Chris Scott getting a somewhat dubious mark paid and kicking one for Brisbane. Looks like Brisbane will get home now.

Goals to Jericho and Ricciuto, 9 points in it now. Thompson is absolutely on fire in the middle. Big finish on the cards if Adelaide can get one more.

Crowd very much into it.

edit: Amazing goal from Thompson! 3 points in it with 5 minutes to go.

Brisbane get home in the end. One of the best last quarters I've seen in a fair while. Incredibly tough, tight football, and Brisbane have certainly shown they aren't dead yet. Even with an aging list and the Crows on fire, they scrapped it out for 10 agonising minutes, and Sherman sealed it with a goal with a minute to play.

Black, Power and Lappin had brilliant games in the midfield and matched it with Ricciuto and Edwards, and the huge second terms from Black and Power were the difference in the end, as they did what none of the Adelaide players could do and hit targets in the forward line. Black finished with 31 possessions and Power 29. For the Crows Ricciuto was great with 32 touches and 2 goals, and Thompson had an incredible second hafl after spending the first off the field with a dislocated finger, and finished with 21 possessions and 3 goals. Rutten was not far off best afield (probably Power overall), and not only smashed Brown but also drove the Crows off halfback and won the hard ball countless times. He finished with an amazing 21 possessions from full/half-back, and in the process held Brown to 11 touches, 4 marks and just 1 goal.

Better use through the midfield was the difference between the sides in the end, with the Crows having an amazing 66 more possessions and 6 more scoring shots, and nevertheless went down by 9 points.

Woohoo, if the Carrs, Pavlich, Tredrea, Francou, Hall, Simmonds, Nath G Brown and McPhee all get 100 each, then I'm looking at a 2000+ score :D

Roos doing what everyone expected them to do, drop off after a good start. I'm a bit disappointed to because I had some faith in them this year.

Amazing when players like Harvey, Grant and Archer can play so well for them that their 'youth' couldn't stand up. Extremely worrying.

The Doggies were brilliant after half time. They have a very talented list. Gilbee and Cooney were excellent.

And Go the Tiges for tomorrow. We should get past the Pies comfortably, putting us 6-2, ahead of the Kangaroos and Melbourne. :)

Amazing game in progress at the Telstra Dome right now. St. Kilda booted 5 unanswered goals before Reilly got one back for Adelaide just before quarter time, and then Adelaide kicked 6 unanswered goals in the second term to lead by 11 points at half time.

What a season Rutten is having too. Gehrig just kicked one to put the Saints up by a point, but he's been barely sighted tonight. Whenever the ball has got anywhere near him Rutten has been there. If he continues this way he can add Gehrig to Tarrant, Brown, Tredrae and company on his list of well beaten forwards.
