I quite enjoy the game tbh. I think the problem is that in the Irish game they do not tackle, and seem to react when they are

The report from Paul Doyle in the Guardian reckoned it was kicking-off (in the scrapping sense) before kick off. It clearly matters to yer Micks! Link here:

Think Doyle may be a tad OTT here tho:

The current series has been in existence for just eight years and it speaks volumes for the malevolent spirit in which it is played that the rivalry is already infected with more bitterness than the Ashes ever could be. Bodyline? How about borderline criminal. And yes, it's compulsive viewing.

Last year with Chris Johnson (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIGREZw4Sr4) was brutal and overstepped the mark but the worst thing that happened in this years game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivEs0sqo70A) was the Irish bloke going knees first into Lappin's back. Wrestling and jumper punches are soft and the tackle from Pearce, a second year player that was passed over in the main draft because he was too small, that ko'd the Irish bloke was a legitimate tackle.

I didn't see the games this year, but it didn't seem too bad from that news clip. Chris Johnson last year was absolutely disgraceful, though.

A little too much biased I thought, no mention of the knees in the back? And I thought the tackle that put that Paddy in the hospital a fair one. 80,000+ no doubt we will be back next year. Money makes the world go around, the world go around

Chris Johnson is an idiot. He along with the Scott brothers are the only guys I genuinely disliked from the great Brisbane team.

Thanks for those. That clothes-line from your number 2 (who I'm assuming is Johnson) was evil. :-O

Pretty sure they come here next year, we have had good crowds to the games at the MCG, and I think now that there is a chance of the Biffo we will have a huge crowd for next year

Haha but maybe they may have changed it, like St Kilda planned on doing with the Wakelin brothers.

Jeez Johnson is a ****. He was always my least favourite player from the Lions - I'd forgotten how ridiculous that stuff was last year.
