Carlton delist Luke Livingston, Cory McGrath, Ian Prendergast, Trent Sporn and Troy Longmuir.

Seriously, wtf?

All had potential though, looked like our future and I doubt we have much better on our current list.
Nah, never saw our future in any of those 4. Livingston will go down as one of the biggest wastes of a 4th draft pick. Perhaps we should have kept him as we have no one better down back. But McGrath, Sporn, Longmuir and Prendergast were just taking up money. Will save us money, and give us more room under the salary cap.

Adelaide delisted Skipworth, which is a bit of a surprise considering he's played 50 odd games and was actually considered trade bait for a while. There's a few young guys who are better prospects like Douglas and Porplyzia though, so it's fair enough.

Longmuir - 3rd club, still can't hold down a spot.
Prendergast - worse version of Jason Blake.
Sporn - would have been delisted years ago at any other club.
McGrath - arguably misused, but still has had his opportunities and didn't take them.
Livingston - is there a key position backman who has had more goals kicked on them than this guy over the past few years?

I hereby dedicate the 2007 AFL season to Darren Murphy. RIP.

Carlton picking up Ackland. Not a bad move, IMO, he's got way better skills around the ground than anyone we've got and although he's a bit short (196cm), he's got good leap and it means we don't have too much to worry about with regards to our ruck division (compared to usual). But the #1 pick... Gibbs, Leunberger, or Hansen? I would say that's the order of how likely they are to be taken.

Ackland was indeed a good coup and it looks like we will go for Gibbs now that we don't need a ruckman anymore.

Pity about the Ireland game, I didn't watch it once I knew the score.

Ackland=dud

Wouldnt think Essendon would want Leunberger considering we have a fairly good and young ruck stocks.
