I can't believe I ate the whole thing
∆ northern and central area racing each other as to who can get out the quickest
I'm also upset about this terrible pun on the NZC site.Thorn Parkes getting bowled on 97 attempting the reverse sweep is one for the cricket purists to get upset about!
Nice.hazeldines dismissal of stackpole is pretty ***y
Hmm nope, huge ND comeback on the back of O'Donnell and Hamption, and looks like Wellington will need 300 ish to win. Though this might be a classic Basin pitch that only ever gets flatter, maybe they need 500 to be safe.Plunket Shield race might be over, Wellington adding to their 'almost comeback of the century' win over Canterbury last week by having ND 5-50 on a green Basin Reserve wicket.
An interesting 1st session now, NDs last 3 wickets could add 10 or 100 - Clarke can bat, Wagner can hit.Hmm nope, huge ND comeback on the back of O'Donnell and Hamption, and looks like Wellington will need 300 ish to win. Conditions are not in Wellington's favour. They've only just back out onto the field and have already lost a wicket.Should be a cracking final hour of play tomorrow with ND needing 3 wickets with 32 runs to defend.
Bizarre. It was a clear "catch", so perhaps umpire turned down what he thought was an lbw appeal, then ND fielders said "but he hit it", then umpire consulted second umpire about hearing 2 sounds or 1 sound? I don't what other useful info the second umpire could have given to help change the decision.... EDIT: Not sure what happened with Younghusband's dismissal. Initially given not out, the umpires convene for a minute and then he's given out. Presumably caught, not the Lbw as recorded currently on the scorecard.
