2024–25 NZ domestic season

A few interesting changes for this round. Freddy Walker dropped for Gulati; debuts for 20yo Otago left-arm seamer Thomas O'Connor and 22yo Auckland batter Nathan Robinson. Jack Boyle dropped after a poor FC season. Stackpole opening.
Thomas any relation to Shayne?

I reckon Dean Foxcroft is the worst 'leaver of the field' in NZ domestic cricket, he always looks completely pissed off when given out, and throws his head skywards in astonishment, usually LB of course, but today is another example when caught behind off Toole

I there is an interview with Foxcroft about his 28 months stuck outside NZ during COVID-19. It's impressive he returned after all that but he hasn't really dominated as much as he looked like doing at one stage. He's probably fallen behind in the pecking order with the emergence of Jacobs and obviously missed selection for the T20's against Pakistan. His off-spin makes him a handy all-round option though so I suspect he'll remain in the frame.

Very keen to see O'Connor as a left arm quick, especially as Schreuder hasn't made it through to CD's team yet.

Abbas' left arm seamers have improved a lot, will be a handy skill if he can kick on with the bat.
Watched Schreuder a bit the other day in the CD A game. Looked to have a nice repeatable action but quite short for a fast bowler.

Wellington in dire need to find an opening batsman with the surname Holding to partner with Mycock. Would be the greatest opening combo since Salman Butt and Imran Farhat.

Either get Mike Slurping in from the J'ville 1Cs or just recruit Jacob Cumming.
