Aussie top order techniques are all terrible. Bancroft as discussed, Warner can't play anything that isn't outside off, Burns forward defends to point . . . Harris has probably get the best technique but he's the most likely to spoon a short wide one straight to point.

This is precisely why I don't get that invested in selection debates any more, because they're all mediocre anyway.

Not like the England top order are much better. Weakest batting in both sides I can remember. Can't even make a combined top 6 that would match either 05 line up.

Hazelwood has been fairly ordinary in Tests for a while; hasn't taken more than 3 wickets in a Test innings since Perth 2017.
Not sure why anyone is questioning Hazlewood "getting dropped". That one's a no-brainer. He was out injured for months without any bowling and hasn't shown any sign of being back to Test standard.

Australia picking Bancroft and Siddle due to strong performances in County Cricket are in for a shock. England fans learned years ago that CC performance has no correlation with Test Match ability.

Quick question whilst some of you boyz are taking about attractive cricketers. Why does Warne look ***ier than he did 20 years ago?

Woakes' action isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, but it's very imitatable.

That ball just died completely.

Yeah all of Bancroft, Burns and Harris are equally as mediocre as each other. Burns the most likely to make you pay but also likely to get owned the most. In seaming conditions I'd pick Harris (as at least I can see him getting starts) but Burns makes the most sense in Australia.

On the subject of hardly anyone being able to bat in England recently, who was the last international batsman who was really, really good at the leave? Anyone since peak Cook+Trott?

Uh, Pujara? He's better at that than both were.
