Well I will play there if it's really needed, I haven't seen how good the Black team are yet, Is there a fixture list?

Here's the fixture list. And yeah, we are badly in need of openers - it's our only major weakness at the moment, I'm filling it with all-rounders and it's not working out too well.

CW Blue v CW Red
at the CW Oval

Blue finally broke its duck and claimed a maiden 5D victory of Season 8. Having suffered heavy defeat in the previous matches, the Blues batting finally fired sufficiently to get the job done. Red was inserted by Fitzsimmons on a pitch that always offers a bit for the seamers first up.

The Blue bowlers found their line, length and fetched enough movement to trouble the Reds throughout the first day, but a lower order half-century from Borcich helped the total to 200 on the second day. In reply, half-centuries from Cribb and Jellett were the basis for a 200+ run lead for Blue. Also getting in were Wilshere, Fuller and Phillips.

Still the Reds fought on. Mørk and Iyer posted a century stand and many got starts throughout the innings. However, no one managed to carry on to a big score, bar Iyer's innings, falling just short of a century. What was left was for the Blues to chase 63 to win and they did so comfortably enough after Fitzsimmons led a firing charge.

CW Black v CW Green
at the CWBCC

An unusually indisciplined second innings batting performance from CW Black was the story of the game, and Green capitalized to claim an impressive victory. The batting of Sajith held the Green innings together both times around, whilst Garven and Rai found form and Rose fell just short of a century.

For Black the first innings was all about one partnership - 243 between Wilson and Blackman. The former went on to smash a brilliant, yet chancy century, whilst the latter was dismissed on his way toward one. Green then fought back from 247/1 to bowl Black out for 327 and Nathan Hoy finished with a solid 5 wickets.

Black still held a lead of 29 runs and they attempted to pressure Green in the second knock. The runs flowed and useful partnerships plagued the innings until Green lost its last 4 wickets for 9 runs and set Black a target of 262 for victory.

Once more Wilson began in imposing fashion, but was ultimately victim to Timewell's persistence and the Blacks continued onward, losing wickets regularly despite no batsman looking really troubled by the Green bowling. To the credit of the Greens though, they stuck to their tasks well and were rewarded with a 78-run win.

Patrick Misses Catch, Misses Match

In a fieldig drill after the Blue win against Red, Nath Patrick successfully injured himself with his butterfingers. The Blue pacer missed a skied catch and was smacked on the head.

He has suffered a concussion and will miss the next two Dev League game days.

He should have kept his eye on the ball instead of waving to the crowd :)

Great spirit shown by the whole team to list back to back wins against the all mighty Blacks. BI played great in both innings and should have got the MoM award. Also a big thumbs up to some of your rookies who are starting to show the abulity that they promised at the start of the season, with Weber and Rose leading the way.

Lets keep the roll going :)

Great win guys, coming from behind, even if its not much, should give us alot of confidence. Great batting particularly from Sajith, 72* and 52 got us home in both innings despite the tail batting poorly compared to usual. Rose's 96 in the 2nd innings was brilliant, unfortunatley didn't quite make the century but a superb knock nonetheless. The bowling was solid in both innings, surprising that the quicks took so many wickets on a pitch that suited the spinners, Cunningham deserves special mention, not for taking the most, but for removing both Blackman and Wilson whom had that huge partnership. Weber took some stick in the 2nd innings but got the required wickets :), it is also good to see Nathan Hoy back to his brilliant self again :)

Lets keep the momentum going guys :)

Great performance guys, we're really starting to turn out season around. We bowled beautifully twice, with Hasley, Patrick and Collins all putting in devastating performances, and for once our batting clicked and we gave ourselves an unassailable first innings lead.

Personally I am fairly comfortable with my performance, getting 49 and a couple of wickets. I didn't do anything spectacular, but I helped the team out a bit. Great job everyone!

WOOOOOOOOH! SENSATIONAL WIN BLUE!

Top class batting effort matched by some qually brilliant bowling!! Looks like the season is turning around. Let's make it 3 boys!

Special mention to Dylan's 6 dismissals in the second innings and 8 for the match. But he was helped by the great bowling!

im still unsure how we lost that, very poor batting in the 2nd dig anything below 200 is not an acceptable score for the blacks.
