    Icc 2005!

xixsoside - if you are a software engineer as you claim then you should know that making little changes can have unintended side effects that were totally unexpected. A lot of the changes you wanted would require serious changes to the fixtures details to store all the extra details and there is...

    Icc 2005!

The database for ICC hasn't been decrypted. All ConvDB does is make use of the decrypt routines within ICC itself. If those functions weren't externally available inside a DLL there would be no ConvDB and no Magpie. If you were the person that described the encryption back in 2002 then that was...

    Convdb does not work HELP!!

That is probably your problem. ConvDB requires ICC files to decrypt the database. If you just copy the ConvDB.exe and the database files to another folder it will be unable to find the files. Either add the ICC directory to your path or easier if you are unsure how to do that only run convDB...

    Icc 2005!

I have no problem with people suggesting ideas for improvements as long as they realise (as most do) that development time is limited and not all ideas will get implemented. At this stage no new ideas will get implemented for 2005. BUT unless you have the source code and the database/fixture...

    Icc 2005!

No idea on whether it will be available in Aus. My gut feeling is not unless the shops import it directly themselves. Maybe after it has been out a while in the UK they will sort out a distribution deal for Aus but initially focus will be on the UK.. The quickest way to get it though would be...

    Convdb does not work HELP!!

If it is a new PC than what cpr has said before is almost certainly the case. Those files listed above are debug version of standard Microsoft DLLs and aren't allowed to be distributed. The problem is convDB was never compiled as a release version which is why these debug versions are required...

    Icc 2005!

2 quick things firstly Play don't ship to Australia :( Real shame as used them a lot in the UK but they only send to ECC countries. The feature list (I am assuming it came from Play) is effectively features for someone new to the game so changes between 2002 and 2005 aren't likely to be listed...

    ICC 2005 Discussion Thread...

The player details data in previous years was supplied by the ACS but as in any game with this many players the odd mistake may get through. Magpie will not work. There have been database changes between 2002 and 2005 versions. Daniel.

    ICC 2005 Discussion Thread...

Ok this is the third time I have tried to reply but the server keeps choosing the time I click post to need rebooting so previous reply attempts have been lost :( My involvement with ICC in the past was just on the network side and any news updates I did on my site. I could have been more...

    Updated Photos

Then those people are also breaking copyright as well and probably don't know better or don't care. It is the mentality of a lot of internet users that because it can be read for free they assume it can be used for free which is not the case Hot linking is even worse as not only are they...

    Updated Photos

Not to put a downer on everyone's efforts but doing the above is copyright infringement unless you have the specific permission of the web site to redistribute the picture. This is definitely not the case with CricInfo (and nearly ever other web site) which I guess is used for most of the ICC...

    Cricket Manager by cricketgames.com

Well as Longhorn is not available impossible to say what old programs won't run That said Microsoft are not going to prevent old programs from working otherwise no-one will upgrade. The only prorgams under danger are probably 16-bit ones. All standard 32 bit (Windows 95 onwards) should work...

    Cricket Manager by cricketgames.com

Cricket Manager is currently on hold. Unfortunately I can not dedicate the time to it I would like. Plus any time I do spend on it I tend to tinker with the match engine (which is really already complete). At some point I will come back to it. If it was near completion or being worked on...

James what is the copyright status of the photos on CricketWeb? Are they pictures submitted by registered users of the site? Just wondering if I ever did want some background photos for my game. Daniel.

    vaughen cricket manager

Sporting Gifts have no more stock of Michael Vaughan's Cricket Manager and aren't expecting anymore. I know this as I am an affiliate with them (like Cricketweb) and was asked to remove the links selling it from CricketGames.com Daniel.

    >> CRICKET TOP 5 GAMES EVER <<

Maybe but a lot of the core people here on CricketWeb started on CricketGames.com. I am not try to take credit for CricketWeb just pointing out that in the computer cricket game community I have been around a long time and am fairly well known. I have also (still do) worked in the games industry...

    >> CRICKET TOP 5 GAMES EVER <<

Are you wanting to do any interviews for this feature :) I worked on the network code for the Empire Games ICC 2000/1/2. I also wrote International Test Cricket which has been listed as the best shareware simulation by many people. It is an old program that even works on Windows 3.1 but still...

    updated database

Just to make it clear (just incase there is anyone who doesn't know despite me saying it several times in the past) there is no Empire written editor that could be released officially or unofficially. Database were created from a myriad of sources all in slightly differing text formats. These...

    *Official* ICC2002 Editing Developments

Six and out - Empire don't need help to get back up and running so not sure what you meant by that. No-one has ever mentioned charging for the editor or giving the editor to Empire so they could charge for it. Emcee - The paragraph makes perfect sense and you obviously know very little about...

    *Official* ICC2002 Editing Developments

No Empire (like many publishers of sports management games) have always been against an editor. I only published the intial breakthrough once the on-line game was no longer available. The on-line game was removed as it was hardly being used any more and didn't justify the monthly costs of $300...
