I believe it as is...

The full list of features is as follows:

* Player Database: comprehensive and up-to-date database featuring full statistics for every first class cricketer in the test playing nations.
* The Match Screen: play and watch individual matches. Allows the player to change tactics on an over by over basis whilst selecting the highlight level for watching the action.
* Transfers: improve your squad by offering contracts to experienced or youth players.
* Team Selection: who’s in form and who’s out. Regret not including a spinner for the last match?
* Groundsman: instruct your groundsman to prepare a pitch tailor made for your attack.
* Playing Conditions: bounce, wear, weather and light vary from fixture to fixture, and change during individual matches.
* Coach and physio: a key player injured or out of form? Book him in for a session with the coach or physio.
* Line and Length: set a line and length for your bowlers. Select a full length or send a bouncer to rile the tail-enders.
* Two Player: captain any of the Test playing nations and compete against a friend in either a Test or one-day series.
* World Rating System: featuring the top ten bowlers and batsman.
Yep, seems to be nothing new there, looks like a data update.

Bar the 'World Rating System'.... if its only top 10 then thats a bit of a regression.... though they might actually have current ratings in instead of starting from scratch.....

2 quick things firstly Play don't ship to Australia :( Real shame as used them a lot in the UK but they only send to ECC countries.

The feature list (I am assuming it came from Play) is effectively features for someone new to the game so changes between 2002 and 2005 aren't likely to be listed. There is only so much room on the back of a box.

Wait until there is an official release from Empire or ideally the developers before jumping to conclusions. More time has been spent on this update then say 2001 - 2002 so a few new features/changes have been added - and before you ask no I can't say what. My involvement involved me signing a NDA and I will not break that.

Hi Dan,

I wait with eager anticipation. However, if they haven't fixed the international spinner problem, I can't see much point in buying it! Fingers crossed! :p

It wasn't that much of a problem for me.. but i'll admit spinners dominate a lilittle more than they should.

I read the article and looked at the screenshots and yes everythnig sounds, looks similar to past versions but i still think it will be a good game. One thnig i hope happens is they change the shape of the oval lol.... its shocking :) almost twice as wide as it is long anyway maybe even different ovals for the loactions.. to make it more realistic.. e.g long boundries (lenght ways) at adelaide and short boundries(side ways).

First thoughts on looking at the screenshots...

Nantie Hayward at Middlesex! That's gonna be annoying. No Pathan then presumably.

No idea on whether it will be available in Aus. My gut feeling is not unless the shops import it directly themselves. Maybe after it has been out a while in the UK they will sort out a distribution deal for Aus but initially focus will be on the UK.. The quickest way to get it though would be from an on-line store.

Just looks like data update.. they have done nothing new on first look!

Real shame. I hope BLIC is good... Cricket 2005 and ICC look really disappointing.

Annoyed that this seems to just be a glorified data update.. It's a class series and of course its a great new addition, but if they are going to have a graphics engine, they could at least include a good one?
