    *Official* Second Test at Lords

Good shout on Flintoff, that was gone. What a surprise to see third man saving boundaries. On another note, if we can't complete the recommended overs with natural light, we should use the lights.

    *Official* Second Test at Lords

They shouldn't. They would be better off staying in, making some runs, it doesn't matter if you lose wickets, because wickets aren't a factor now, runs are what you need, the quicker the better, the more time to bowl us out.

Good to see Prior go. Broke a good partnership. What time is this scheduled to finish with the rain yesterday? What is the latest it can go to?

What sort of a delivery is that? Terrible, just terrible.

Johnson vs Broad with the bat

First innings for both at Lords. Broad 16 Johnson 4 Broad should be batting this innings, Johnson probably will bat next innings. Whether Broad is in the side for the third Test is questionable, and whilst Johnson should be selected for the third Test, and the rest of the series as well if he...

How many chances will Pieterson and Bopara get?

    *Official* Second Test at Lords

I feel Siddle's anger and disappointment from the comfort of my bed. Well, I feel his disappointment and how unlucky he is, but from his reactions, I barely have a patch on his anger.

Geez. You don't see Ponting put many down. What is with the fingers pointing up around his knees/shins? Hoping that doesn't become crucial in this match, but Bopara and Pietersen don't look too good at the moment.

I thought that was out on first look. Off the bat. Good to see the awareness in the field to have a shot at the stumps when Pietersen was out of his crease.

    *Official* Second Test at Lords

We need to get Pietersen now. He will have a field day with some of the crap the Aussies are serving up. And when do we plan on getting a third man in? This is getting comical.

I love the 3rd man from Sky. Both wickets were good bowling from Hauritz, set them up well, knew what he was doing with both. Give credit where credit is due, and now it's due.

Where do you get these statistics from, the percentages? Do you have a site or do you just collect the information from Cricinfo or something then sort out the averages yourself?

    *Official* Second Test at Lords

Haurie! I thought that was going down leg in real speed, good imporing in the end IMO, replays showed it was in line.

Should Brett Lee be selected for the Ashes?

He might be selected for the third Test. IIRC there is a tour match before the third Test, if Lee is selected performs well he might gain selection of Johnson, rightly or wrongly.

Hilfenhaus and first innings dismissal to deny. Seriously though, England getting Trescothick back would be awesome, he would be a great addition to their team, allowing Bopara to move down the order where he probably belongs or be dropped until another opportunity presents itself...

England batting well, but it's not hard against this bowling. 50 up.

    Fair Play for Responding

Sir/Madam I am writing as an Australian fan to question why England proceeded to select Stuart Broad for the second Ashes test. He bowled poorly at Cardiff and poses no threat to the Australian batsmen. Harmison is bowling well in County cricket, and did alright in the England Lions v Australia...
