Steven Smith - Will he go anywhere?

Yes when, not if. You can't tell me that he will never land the ball in the right line and length. Consistency is another matter and even if he did become consistent, if his leg spin doesn't turn (aka White) then hes never going to be overly threatening.

Steven Smith - Will he go anywhere?

I know you can apply that every leg spinner to ever play the game. What I mean is, once he actually bowls more the right line and length we can get a better gague to how much turn he gets, drift, flight etc. And from that you have a better indication of how much of a threat is leg break can be...

Steven Smith - Will he go anywhere?

It's not so much the hype but more the time frame he mentioned. He stated Smith won't reach his full potential till about 2012 and that is assuming he keeps working on his bowling. NSW are giving hm lots of bowling chances. If he gets his line and length sorted, then we should get a clearer...

Steven Smith - Will he go anywhere?

Hes got the deliveries to be a successful spinner. His leg break can turn a far bit, his flipper looks decent. Haven't seen him wrongun yet. Jenner said he needed 5 years before he would be ready, he said that last year so hes still got 4 years to go.

Tall left arm who is similar to Mitchell Johnson in a number of ways. Where he differs is his action is better and hes got better control. BTW am I seeing right, why on earth did Victoria declare 300 runs behind? Edit: Ah I see its day 3, thought it was day 2. Fair enough I guess. SA will be...

Hazelwood certainly knows how to pick up wickets, only a matter of time before that becomes a bunch. Starc is awesome, great to have him back.

Good day for NSW, hopefully Smith is able to get some batting time. That WA v Tas match was awesome.

Yea hes going great guns with his bowling. A bit disappointed that his batting hasn't come on as I thought it would.

Did you guys get the stream working? It was working at the start but then it died for me and only now is it back again.

Agree we could use another strike bowler like ****ley or Bird. Probably best to let Hughes work on his game in the longer form, all these low scores won't be helping his confidence.

Loving Smith atm, seems to perform when we need him most. And looks like Warner might be staying down the order now.

Hes been playing like this all season. Don't know what he did in the off season but its working as hes been consistently making runs.

Henriques batting has come along nicely this season, he was 2nd highest scorer for NSW in the 1st innings last match and he was top score in the last FRC match.

They could have gone for it at the start, but once we started losing wickets then shut up shop. We would probably would have ended up in the same position but at least we tried. Watson should have been the aggressive one with Katich playing the anchor.

Katich when playing for NSW, seem to value each ball on its merit, left a lot of balls and that resulted in 100s all over the place.

All the reports from State cricket say hes a swing bowler as well but we haven't seen that so far. Watson on at last, Hauritz hasn't looked too threatening.

I hear Bollinger uses it quite a bit for NSW at the SCG. This is from what I heard in the media and Mark Nicholas said the same thing.
