*Official* Australia v England post-Ashes ODI series

Nice from England. The ODI game has moved on and Australia aren't moving with it.

You need to do a little bit better than 29 off 106 in a first innings.

    Kagiso Rabada

They consistently produce players you'd pay to watch. When you think how fewer resources they have compared to the big 3 the rest of the cricketing world is bl**dy lucky to have them. Long may it continue, please do not go the way of the WIs.

Geez, SA produce some decent bowlers. Read Rabada has already taken 7 5-ers and 3 10-ers in tests. At 22. Insane.

Looking forward to this one. Finally, some cricket to watch on TV in UK if you don't have that BS that is BT!

*Official* Australia v England post-Ashes ODI series

Not having Maxwell in the long-term planning for the 2019 WC is just patently absurd. And if he is in the planning and they are choosing to not play him now is also absurd. I mean Lynn. Really? Thank god he got injured. Aus could get spanked this series. Engand have a decent team if they click.

Yes, severe gastro apparently. It's funny how many cricketers get bad gastro in places you wouldn't expect, Cummins also this series and Cowan was talking about his bout on the 2013 England tour. I wonder if it's all the travelling affecting your immune system.

Well done Aus. My highlights: pat cummins and the fast bowlers. Lowlights: Stokes and the pitches. Hope they all have some drinks together, apart from poor Joe. Seeing his brother in the crowd with the BA was brilliant.

Great interview with Jimmy on the BBC. I have to say, I do love Jimmy. Wonder if he could've ever made a decent England captain and let Root focus on the batting.

What a shame :( But what a bowling attack South Africa have. Rabada, I just love him so much.

Yes, I've noticed this attitude. Not good enough. Amongst the England media too. Apparently everything could have been so different and every match could have been a draw if only for the odd key moment. And the latest is apparently the DRS technology in Australia is not as good as the England...

This has been a most disappointing Australian Ashes, weather wise.

    *Official* Commentary Complaints Thread

That's a great article, thanks for the link. It's so sad what's become of ABC cricket, starting with the resignation of Tim Lane. They really should just look to the BBC, they have a superb and relevant model there to learn from and tailor to Australian sensibilities.

It pleases me that the Cricketweb community can all see through Dobell. A hack indeed. The new(ish) breed in general are pretty dire. Not a fan of those irritating Guardian over-by-over hacks who feel the need to intersperse youtube clips of Britpop songs between each over. I don't need a side...

Yes, I am absolutely the ultimate arm chair expert and gutless was the wrong word. However I do think it was the easier choice. Nonetheless, great bowling England. They had to use that session and they did.

Well done England! That was a bit of a scared and gutless choice not putting England back in so well done Jimmy. That was good cricket by England.

Don't know abut team wide but there is no doubt Smith has made a conscious decision to bat cautiously when required since the uproar about Australian collapses. I like that about Smith, he's quite happy to read and listen to what people are saying and adapt his game if required. The opposite of...

    Australian Domestic Season 2017/18

Ouch. What is going on with Cartwright? I haven't seen any of his dismissals but it appears something horrible is happening.

The character of Pat Cummins is so impressive. Australia have an absolute Keith Miller superstar of world cricket on their hands if he can stay fit. I feel England have really let all this petty stuff get into their heads. Didn't handle it well between the tests and haven't handled it well...
