****ib has added a lot of fire to the SL-Bangla rivalry, they already have a history. Only good thing to come out of this thing is that both nations will try to lift their games and win at any cost against each other. For SL, this game is more humiliated than the double-digit scores against...

It's not about batting negatively though. I mean if you have a Lara, Tendulkar or Ponting in your line-up, it's fine to just go after the bowler and hurt his rhythm. But nothing wrong with seeing of a few overs.

Sure it's the right strategy if you are Ricky ****ing Ponting. But that doesn't work for all batsmen. Sometimes just playing out 2-3 overs when the bowler has his tail up can make a significant difference on what score you ultimately end up with.

    Kapil Dev vs Kagiso Rabada

Kapil Dev, because I am extremely biased in all comparisons related to Kapil. Quite a few of his performances get overlooked.

Agree. This is stupidity. They need a stadium away from the city if we are to host any games around Delhi.

    ***Official***Match #38- Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka - November 6th - Delhi (D/N)

Absolutely, and it only gets worse around this time. They should not have a game in Delhi anyways to start off with due to pollution issues. Ridiculous.

Tbf, Asalanka tried his best to stay there and weather the storm. He didn't take the easy way out, a lot of times batsmen just try to defend a few and start attacking randomly to ensure that they somehow cover up their strike rate and don't look embarrassingly bad.

That's common sense looking at the pitch. Don't even like Kohli but that deck needed someone to hold one end throughout the innings. It was evident very early in the innings that the ball was turning and not coming on to the bat. I'd say Rohit's brisk 40 made a huge difference for us, allowed...

Even I was shocked. How can he have an opinion of his own? That's so silly.

100% agree with this. Generally DL results are not quite there, but there was a very minimal chance of NZ turning this one around.

    ***Official***Match #35 - New Zealand vs Pakistan - November 4th - Bengaluru

In this context, there was a higher chance of Pak finishing it with a few overs to spare. The big difference was NZ going with 3 spinners on a smallish ground against a team that plays spin well. They had quite a few players who could go after spin including a well-set Babar and Rizwan to come...

    ***Official***Match #35 - New Zealand vs Pakistan - November 4th - Bengaluru

Even if we look beyond DLS, Pak had a much higher chance of winning since NZ went with 3 spinners on an absolute road with short boundaries. None of their spinners were looking threatening. Not sure what the equation would've been if NZ went with 3 pacers.

That's what I felt. Either that or play him only in conditions that would suit his style of bowling.

    Shivnarine Chanderpaul vs Peter May

If he would've batted up the order and helped the team, that would've been great. But he chose not to and that's OK. May be he was more comfortable against the older ball and could maximise on his batting at 5? Why do we expect him to simply sacrifice his career when others around him aren't...
