He looks to have revamped his game and added patience to his armoury. For a guy known to be lazy outside off stump for his entire career its quite a transformation. He now seems to have v good knowledge of where his offstump is, and has no troubles picking off the bad ball. Vast improvement..

True. Otoh they are also taking wickets away from Warne

    *Official* Warne vs Murali Discussion

Fairly responsive tracks? No. He bowled beautifully on pretty flat tracks in the first innings. They had Lee, Tait etc to score off and tried to block him out the game (exclude Pieterson) and he was still good enough to take wickets. There is no doubt it was one of the best exhibitions of...

    *Official* Warne vs Murali Discussion

Why don't you go and research and find out every plan every team has ever had for both Murali and Warne, and the bowlers around them, and how well they were played, and then explain the relevance.

Re no3. Is it not a fact that Warney had NO SUPPORT from the 2nd test onwards (Mcgrath was bowling rubbish after Lords, and as for the rest...) and yet he had what was probably his BEST series ever?

Brett Lee Says he will bowl line and length from now on.

I do think Lee suffers a loss of control with greater pace. The Lee maxim of too short or too full holds true whenever he strives for it. He will bowl the odd great delivery, the one that comes off the seam to knock over the stumps (read Flintoff at TB) or nip the edge, like the one that got...

He may bowl a good un every now and then, like he did when he got Flintoff. But the majority of his bowling is rubbish

Look i think he got a bit of movement early on, but once he got that 'i must bowl as fast as possible' thing going again, he was back to the Lee of old. His success was mostly down to poor batting for mine

Lee may have bowled line and length, but he was still straight up and down.

Interesting comment. My take on it is that Ponting and Buchs now think their new softly softly approach, whatever u do don't throw the ball back at the batsman and glare at him in case you offend him, spirit of cricket rubbish was a disadvantage. A bit of the old iceman steve waughish steel is...

Good to see a bit of venom from the aussies. We were a bit soft during the Ashes IMO, there was too much backslapping and photogenic smiles going on

Yeah he's bowled well. But i think Lee struggles a bit when he goes for too much pace. I think his early spell today was his best, when he was consistently bowling around the 137 mark and getting a bit of movement thru the air. He loses that when he tries to bowl to quick. And I don't think it...
