Baggy Green ball tampering: Bancroft, Smith and the Aussie "Leadership Group"

Until the investigation is completed how can we really know? If he is involved he will be sacked for sure.

Baggy Green ball tampering: Bancroft, Smith and the Aussie "Leadership Group"

It always been tradition that the coach had very little say in the on field direction/tactics during a match. Clarke was backgrounding the press via Warne to complain when Lehmann was crossing this line a few years back. Unless it comes out he hatched the idea, I don’t see how the coach is to...

They aren’t 12 year old kids. Dud call to blame the coach.

What a national embarrassment. CA need to set the tone and impose their own bans if the ICC gives limp suspensions.

***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2018

Poor behaviour of others in the past doesn’t really matter to the ICC. No doubt all the controversy of the first test brought greater spotlight onto this match and increased the focus on behaviour of the officials, but that’s to be expected.

I think Rabada’s old man has given him solid advice. A mea culpa is probably his best defence. ‘Oops we bumped, it was slightly my fault, but nothing more than a slight brush’ is a better chance of getting off than saying Smith was to blame. Keep letting the ball do the talking. He’s a...

The batsmen is out, so starts to walk off. There's no chance of a run-out so no excuse as to jostling for position and holding your line. The bowler should change their line (or even put hands up to minimise an unavoidable collision), that's common sense, and he's been pulled up for it.

That's just nonsensical. Emotion getting in the way of sound reasoning.

Great comeback by South Africa this test. Shaping up as an awesome series. Smith needs to find some runs.

Not a good look for the game. CA need to pull him into line.

*Official* Australia v England post-Ashes ODI series

Leaving out Maxwell has been a massive dud call. Cummins is a crap ODI bowler but you can only assume the selectors think his natural talent will sort it out over time as he learns on the job.

***Official*** 5th Test at the SCG

There's really been zero drama or ebbs and flows in the series to get too excited about. This is a really weak England side. The mix of experience and poor form has hurt them badly.

I wonder if it's the Day/Night factor or the wicket now? I don't think there has been many draws in the past 10 years.

Some pace and carry would have really helped this game. That way you have at least the option of short pitched stuff or just general nicking them off would have been more prominent. Not sure how much Starc would have been able to get out of the wicket, but certainly more than Bird.

***Official*** 4th Test at the MCG

Probably the worst wicket in Aus for bowlers. Once Cook gets set he's a run machine, looking good for the double

Australian selectors how good are they

MMarsh is a better bowler than batsman. Given our attack he might not actually be needed, so unless he continues to score a lot of runs, we could pick a batsman instead most of the time.

It seems like the thing to do in the media is make an urn pun.
