    Not sure why the ref watched the replay so many times if he was going to give a pen for any handball. That was obvious. I think it should have just been a corner. No way to get out of the way, arm was in a natural position to go for the ball. A Croat player behind him anyway.

    They play 60 games a year, so their bodies are conditioned for this kind of workload. I think fatigue is not going to be as big a factor as we might expect.

    I think without Germany/Italy or Holland in the knockouts it has been a little different. That’s usually 3 defining games if they get knocked out.

    I reckon Smith and Warner will have cashflow problems in the short term. Losing 5 mil all of a sudden could cause all sorts of issues. They will want to find money to cover debts, even potentially getting desperate aka interviews for sale.

    Victoria just seem to produce a stream of guys who excel at state level and can't step up to test level. With their population they need to mimic what NSW do with junior development, another 2-3 prospects would make us always a much better side.
