    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Who is India's next keeping option in this format if Dhoni is injured?

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Elliott at 7 is pretty crazy.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Guess the pitch is pretty slow but man Taylor's timing looks bad.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Man that was pretty bad. So many shots straight to cover/mid-off and a soft dismissal.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Who is this commentator who just spazzed talking about the run out stats? Seems pretty bad.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Honestly would not have guessed Australia had a positive win rate in t20 since the last WC.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

    Pretty ridiculous start from Nehra.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Yeah I was thinking they look really nice. Kinda reminds me of the Italian soccer uniform a bit, though obviously a different colour. Just the solid blue, looks good.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

Love the complete indifference on the commentary about the LBW going miles over the top.

Changes to next World cup,8 teams.

Is there not one in 2018?

    Warm up matches

Hazlewood top order hattrick. Might have cemented himself a spot in the side with that, since there would have been some doubt about the decision between him and NCN.

First/Group Round - Group A - Bangladesh, Netherlands, Ireland, Oman

2007 wasn't ideal either, not really a fan of an eight team league for the second stage, just too long. But on the subject of whether or not India was the issue, in 2003, Pakistan, England, South Africa and the West Indies were all eliminated in the group stage and it wasn't deemed a huge deal...

First/Group Round - Group A - Bangladesh, Netherlands, Ireland, Oman

Is India being eliminated really enough on its own to make a World Cup a financial failure? 2007 had a lot of other problems beyond just India and Pakistan playing poorly, like crappy attendance, facilities, sponsor issues etc. I don't think the 2015 World Cup would have been a financial failure...

First/Group Round - Group B - Scotland, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Hong Kong

Was Samiullah who was given not out on the catch decision. He was on 14 off 24 at the time, so pretty big decision.

First/Group Round - Group B - Scotland, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Hong Kong

That was definitely out for me. Can't understand that third umpire decision. Hate third umpire for catches.

First/Group Round - Group A - Bangladesh, Netherlands, Ireland, Oman

Yeah, selective investment in associate cricket is the way to go, but symbolic inclusion in international tournaments is also huge. That's where the ICC are really missing expansion opportunities I think, we've seen with soccer over the last few decades that the local significance of the sport...

First/Group Round - Group B - Scotland, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Hong Kong

Never really cared for t20 but I've been enjoying this pre-tournament a lot. Maybe because I'm not as familiar with the players so I'm less inclined to compare the format to ODIs/FC/test cricket and just watch the game. Really interesting contest here anyway.

Starc, chameera, amir, rabada or Joseph

Wouldn't it be "I think Craig McDermott could be as good or even better than Akram and Ambrose. He has a higher ceiling."? Not saying I agree with that statement but it's not as unreasonable as what you said. Also McDermott made his debut before Akram, and both were well before Ambrose. So it...

First/Group Round - Group A - Bangladesh, Netherlands, Ireland, Oman

Yeah, though in a sport with a better governing body I don't think that would matter as much. I guess it's not completely fair to blame the ICC since their hands are tied to a degree by the lopsided monetary situation in cricket, but India lost two out of three games in that World Cup to get...

First/Group Round - Group A - Bangladesh, Netherlands, Ireland, Oman

The answer to every "why" question with regard to the formats of ICC tournaments is the same - to reduce the chance of a top test team getting eliminated. That's the entire purpose of designing the format of every tournament they host. The last two cricket world cups had probably the worst...
