    14th Match - Australia v Pakistan (25th March)

    Smith's placement is terrific.

    14th Match - Australia v Pakistan (25th March)

Yeah fair enough about wanting him to be consistent but telling him to put away the reverse sweep in this format is silly. Scores him a ton of runs and he's not in the team to bat all day. I also think he's been pretty consistent in limited overs cricket for a while now, terrible series in NZ...

    14th Match - Australia v Pakistan (25th March)

Slater's opposition to Maxwell reverse sweeping in t20 is so weird.

Who is the worst pace bowler to take over 300 test wickets?

I think Zaheer and Lee is a bit closer than some people are saying here. Always liked Lee though so maybe just a bit biased. Both had a period where they were exceptional and periods where they really didn't warrant selection, ended up with similar overall records. Zaheer probably slightly ahead...

    12th Match - Afghanistan v England (23rd March)

Losing this game would be a pretty England thing to do. Long way to go though.

    11th Match - New Zealand v Pakistan (22nd March)

By that logic Ricky Ponting is the best captain of all time though. Not really saying you're wrong but I don't think the fact that Smith's team was #1 and they won series in Australia means that he's a better captain than Clarke necessarily, or that Chappell's criticisms of him were unfounded...

    11th Match - New Zealand v Pakistan (22nd March)

Chappell is a mixed bag but compared to the rest of the 9 team he's basically the god of commentary, so I can forgive him a lot.

    11th Match - New Zealand v Pakistan (22nd March)

I really just think Ian Chappell has a bias towards Ian Chappell, and people who he thinks are like Ian Chappell, play with a similar mindset to Ian Chappell and respect the legacy of Ian Chappell. It's not that nationalistic really. He liked McCullum as a captain, right?

    10th Match - Australia v Bangladesh (21st March)

Yeah, 185* off 96, in a chase of 232. I think it's the highest percentage individual contribution to a team total in an ODI. Difficult thing to get stats on though, most places just track completed innings.

Nice piece of bowling, deserved a wicket.

    10th Match - Australia v Bangladesh (21st March)

Man, really impressed with Zampa. Has much better control than I remember him having in the past, and looks really tough to hit. Still feels like this team has one bowler too many. Faulkner, Watson and Marsh are all pretty good t20 options and could be relied on to put together 10 or so overs I...

    5th Match - Australia v New Zealand (18th March)

Not having a go at you as I know this is a common view, but I really don't understand how people can categorise individual shots as slogs in this manner. If you hit a 6 it's always going to be a slog by some definition, you're hitting it really far in the air and running the risk of being...

    5th Match - Australia v New Zealand (18th March)

    Terrific outfield catching by NZ.

    5th Match - Australia v New Zealand (18th March)

On the slow pitch debate earlier, still made for a pretty interesting game IMO. I've always felt slow/difficult batting wickets tend to make for the most entertaining ODIs and I don't think the formula is that different in t20s. Really good batting wickets make for pretty predictable games in...

Haha. Actually a really important couple of boundaries.
