    Jasprit Bumrah vs Graeme Pollock

I doubt if 80 year old Pollock is a better batsman than Bumrah. However, Pollock was some batsman even in his 50s. So won't rule that out.

Shoaib vs Bumrah vs Mohd Asif

Waqar > Bumrah > Kapil imo as bowlers. Until recently, I would have had Kapil ahead of Bumrah. Bumrah needs to do a lot more to get ahead of Waqar though. If he can continue at his current level, another 100 wickets would give him Holding's aggregate. That would make him comparable to Waqar.

Shoaib vs Bumrah vs Mohd Asif

A year back it was really close between Bumrah and Shoaib, but Bumrah's great performances post his long injury break has him nailed on this one. Asif would have been in the conversation with a larger career, but not with that sample size.

    Zaheer Abbas vs Jimmy Amarnath

Abbas was a notable home track bully but has a record that is all over the place abroad. He was great in England(aided by that mammoth 274 in 1971) and good in Australia. Horrendous in NZ, WI and India. Imran had said that he was weak against quick bowling. Amarnath on the other hand was an...

Am I the only one here who rates Sunil Gavaskar slightly above Viv Richards in Test?

Viv Richards is my all time favorite batsman and imho the best I have seen. Gavaskar is unfairly maligned at times in this forum though. Quite simply the best opening batsman in the last 70 years and a top tier ATG.

What is your definition of a match-winning innings?

It tied the match but won the WC for Aussies. May be I should have been clearer. Kallis is a World Cup winner.

What is your definition of a match-winning innings?

Every substantial Kallis innings in ODIs is a matchwinning innings. They sometimes won it for his team but mostly for his opposition.

Young players who failed to realise their potential

Shaw is already in his 40s. He was unlucky that his youthful days coincided with the Fab 4 (Fab 5) of 2000s.

Imran vs Miller (With a twist).

Imran and Miller were great great cricketers, the best bowling all rounders ever, but they can't plonk or peck as well as the top 20 wicket keeper batsmen in history. They are both joke options here. Add Gilly, Knott, Dujon, Healy etc. to the poll.

    Ravindra Jadeja vs Stuart Macgill

They both took to the wrong skill at the highest level. So did Garner.

When Sehwag and Ganguly was hitting out in the 03 WC final

No. The writing was on the wall as people have already said here. There is a huge difference between Ganguly and Sehwag hitting out against average bowlers in Natwest final and against world class bowlers in a World Cup final.

When Sehwag and Ganguly was hitting out in the 03 WC final

Me and my brother were devastated at half way stage and I was about to switch off the TV. My father did not allow me, made us live through the pain and watch the match right till the end. He told us it was part of growing up.

What would an ATG game really look like?

This is what happened with 80s WI team and they all averaged 21-24. Were up against plenty of mediocre batsmen as well. Here they will be up against some of the very best in history and I don't think anyone can reasonably argue that the ATG bowlers will average about the same.
