WSC Records - How do you deal with them?

Woakes is the only player in my living memory who could have brought down Viv's average in World Series. Too bad that they never locked horns with each other.

    Official Jasprit Bumrah fanboying thread

Some more Bumrah love. Across all T20 world cups, he has taken 26 wickets at 14.30 and ER of 5.44. Across all ODI world cups, he has taken 38 wickets at 19.57 and ER of 4.23. His T20 WC ER would have looked ok in recent ODI world cups. His ODI WC ER would have looked good in 90s WCs...

0/10 for not getting the thread title wrong.

Which one was the more dramatic India WC t20 victory?

Bumrah's genius as a bowler and Surya's unbelievable catch made the just concluded one more dramatic. As discussed in several posts above, India - Pakistan was far more balanced. This one was really done and dusted in SA's favor before the incredible last 5 overs happened. For sheer nostalgia...

Is Bumrah the best cricketer India has ever produced?

Unironically though, Bumrah has more overseas wickets than Harris' home and away put together. Another interesting stat is that Bumrah already has more overseas matches and wickets than Lillee. Also closing in on Roberts and Garner in that aspect.

The FINAL- South Africa vs India (D), Kensington Oval, Barbados-- June 29th

Bumrah's economy rate of 4.18 is the best by any bowler in a T20 WC over a minimum of 20 overs. That ER would have looked good even in 99 ODI WC.

    Don Bradman vs Garry Sobers

NZ did draw the 1968-69 series against WI 1-1 in which Sobers was poor. A couple of points to note. When Sobers toured NZ in 1955-56, he was a teenager and wasn't all that good in his early days. He barely performed against anyone at that age. When he toured NZ in 1968-69, he had just...

    Don Bradman vs Garry Sobers

He averaged 56 facing those aggressive short stuff out of the blue, without any prior notice. Modern batsmen faced the same hostile stuff yes, but also got opportunities to acclimatize to it about a million times. Imo, Bradman would have adapted his game too to stand head and shoulders above him...

Too early to judge. I will wait until they both retire before rating them.
