    **Official** English Football Season 2024/25

I don't think it's ever been about his tackling, it's his positioning and lack of pace to help him out of it (which Walker got away with until the Euros).

    Over-rates yawn

Probably less if we're then handing over 5 mins for a drinks break too. Might be worth having different thresholds for spinners and seamers, but then that's just getting confusing. Anyway, I don't really care about over rates. They should only be considered if the result ends in a draw. Can...

Best players in certain age ranges

I just find it funny that a bloke with 177 wickets at 21.39 between 35-39 has not made it to the list. I suspect Coronis has some deeper issues with Anderson that has impacted his decision making. He was basically bowling at peak career Bumrah and Cummins during that period.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Especially on a pitch which is basically doing the arse end of **** all.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

I only joined an hour in, but no idea how Leach took those 2 wickets, pitch looks dead. Haven't seen any ball do anything....

    Over-rates yawn

One thing to consider, I bet no batsman tried a reverse sweep in that Benaud over. Easy to bowl fast when you’re not being given much to think about.

Best players in certain age ranges

Hadlee didn’t have a bloke taking 600 wickets sharing the new ball with him.

Best players in certain age ranges

I’d have Anderson in the 35-39 range. The exact same average as Hadlee but 61 more wickets.

Should’ve added that I’ve no issue with it. Wish England did more of that to visiting teams. I was thinking of that pink ball fiasco. I think that might be an example of a pitch that wasn’t great for Test Cricket.

Well this is all over, NZ v winner of tomorrow's game it would seem in the semis.

It's basically what India do when England win a Test there.

It wasn't just 8 drops, it was the fact 6 of them were very straightforward. It would be even funnier if they somehow won this game but sent India through. But I suspect even this low target is beyond their batting capabilities.

Haha, they finally held one off the final ball. Feel for Dar, ends with 1-26, probably should've been 4-16!!

Another 3 sitters. Whoever is at long on wants shooting!! What's even funnier is that despite bowling virtually every over by a spinner, they've had to bring a fielder in for a slow over rate. Edit: 4 sitters, deep mid wicket joins the club. Horrific and comical!!

2 sitters, one that ought to be taken and one toughie.........shocking fielding from Pakistan.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

It's Pakistan, it could happen. But even on a turning wicket, England look to have the better batsmen against spin and the best spinner.

    America's Cup 2024

Only saw the 2nd race when it was close until GB ****ed up on one of the upwind legs. Sounds like yesterday's was done as soon as GB picked up an early penalty. Hard to see how they come back from this, seems like they're knackered from all the racing to qualify for the Final.

    Official Rugby Thread

Yeah, feels like there's some serious funding going into the English Women's game at the moment and with others going the opposite way, a gap is being exposed (at 15 a side anyway). Not unlike the Aussie Cricketers. John Mitchell is some coach for a Women's Team to snap up.

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

Absolutely makes sense that decision. Give Atkinson a week off and bring him back fresh for the 3rd Test where I suspect Carse will get a rest. I'd imagine none of the seamers were earmarked to play in all 3. Remains to be seen, but kind of looked like England had all bases covered over...

    Coaching advice for girls

What I found was that girls are great on the technical aspects of the game. We had an ex England Women's coach leading them and he was superb at intricate batting details which the girls were great at picking up on. My own daughter (sadly now 'retired') had the most dreamiest of cover drives...
