And turned out it was - used up the reviews too early (one a very daft one).

Absolutely makes sense. Thus, maintaining a brilliant average all the way through your late 30's whilst playing so much Test Cricket would surely only highlight how good you were even more, right?

Having said that, the TV Companies very much crave the 'right' teams in the latter stages of the knockouts, Losing one (and possibly two) of the Big 3 was probably not part of their plan.

Well she never got a chance today, although it perhaps highlighted her lack of athleticism compared to Dottin. I suspect 130 will be enough here given the quality of the bowling attack.

Brainless stuff from Bouchier, ran out Capsey now a daft shot.

But you apparently didn't give Anderson more than a second's thought despite his numbers. I'm discounting Hadlee because his numbers are distorted by the weakness of the rest of his bowling attack. Similar happened to Murali and you could argue that Windies bowling had fallen in a hole by the...

Didn't realise it's 10 years since the WI last beat England in a T20 outside the Caribbean, and have lost 13 on the trot since 2018. So obviously this will be the one they win..... WI win toss and bowl.....

What was Walsh's average? If it's anywhere near Anderson's then he'd be my pick. Just seen he had 180 at 21.6. I mean that's very similar to Jimmy, both ahead of Hadlee for me. No, the only categories you could consider Anderson for are the last 2. But his 177 wickets at 21.39 between 35-39...

    *OFFICIAL* England in Pakistan 2024

One of those days where you're not entirely sure who's ahead. Despite taking 3 of the 5 wickets, there seemed little in it for the spinners and when the ball started reversing the seamers were far more threatening. Pakistan only having one seamer looks like an issue as the game progresses. It...

    America's Cup 2024

Well not really. As mentioned before, NZ got to choose the design of the boat. They've been ahead of everyone else from the start. Not sure which country it was (France maybe) who were even using a boat made in NZ and had their trials delayed by the late delivery of it. Ainslie had the better...

I know Stokes will only have one against his name today, but it should be two given they didn't review the Rizwan edge. The last 40 mins will probably decide who has had the better day.

Isn’t the bloke who has taken the most wickets in that age span somewhat more obvious than anyone else?

Bit of a myth that. English pitches seen a lot of runs recently whilst clearly the likes of Broad, Woakes, Wood, Archer, Stokes never take wickets at all.

Agreed, might have caught the one before lunch had he been stood closer. Says a lot about the pitch that there are already no slips in.

I'd say England's ability to rack up 800 in the last Test was fairly key to Pakistan imploding in their 2nd innings.

Bashir just not threatening at all. Surely time to rotate the pacers around Leach.

He seems to be luckier than Babar too. These two certainly had a bit since lunch.

Not really the same. India are out because they only won 2 out of 4 matches. If England went out today they would only have lost once. But I fully expect England to win today, and I hope they do too. Not just because I'm English, but I think they're the only team who can truly challenge the...

Leach bowling beautifully and unlucky not to have picked up both these two since lunch. Bashir somewhat less threatening at the other end.
