    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Im still scratching my head over the fact that we selected Tuffey for the World Cup. He's only played a handful of games at a modest return whereas at least Chris Martin is playing and has been in superb form right now.

    Where does Ross Taylor rank?

What everyone is missing is that Taylor is a Polynesian! its almost unheard of to see a Polynesian guy playing cricket instead of league or rugby. He may well lead the way for other young Polynesian players. Watch out for Dave Houpapa next. A solid left hander who seems to have a very...

The Strange Death of Indian Cricket

Marc, unless you crack the All Whites there is absolutely no money to be made in playing football in NZ. Even playing for the All Whites gives you little money. NZ cricket survives because NZ are regarded as an important country in cricket so they are granted a decent slice of money by the...

    NZ U19's v Ind U19's

I imagine the pitch has flattened out at Lincoln and dare I say the Indian batsmen got a kick up the backside after a couple of substandard innings. No doubt they declared after Day 3 so it'll be interesting to see how NZ fared with the bat on the final day.

They'll need 300 on this pitch. If we can have Oram coming in with 10 overs to go and a good platform we should be able to do it.

Ive heard he wants NZ citizenship. Im not sure Auckland would play him if he wasn't going to keep playing here.

Colin de Grandhomme is playing for Auckland today. Although he hasn't been required with bat or ball.

    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

Stephen Fleming still has one year left at Notts and Hamish Marshall is still contracted to Gloucs. I believe Brendon McCullum is in the final stages of arranging a deal with Glamorgan. Jacob Oram is also being chased by a number of sides, but is unlikely to play.

The Strange Death of Indian Cricket

Would you be surprised if I said that the biggest number of people playing any sport in New Zealand is football? well it's football followed by netball then rugby then cricket.

Shaun Tait-Potential to be the fastest ever?

With Tait I think he could destroy an opposition one game, but then be a total liability the next game. Considering he hasn't played much ODI cricket, it would be a big punt to select him for the World Cup.

Shaun Tait-Potential to be the fastest ever?

With his action, he's gonna be a bit of a Nantie Hayward at times. But probably a bit better.

The Strange Death of Indian Cricket

Cricket won't die out here because it is one of the few sports that gets you decent money here. Sports like football, baseball, softball, hockey even just don't get you enough money to have a decent living. If a keen youngster is having to choose between Cricket and Soccer for example, most of...

    NZ U19's v Ind U19's

I just noticed that Tim Southee played a 20/20 match for N.D on January 13th this year. So that pretty much shows N.D are keen for him to step up to their First Class side.
