Well we're practically giving this series to Sri Lanka. I don't mind a bit of experimentation for now, but once we hit the Commonwealth bank series I expect to see our first pick side out on the park every single game. From the players they've been picking, this is the side i'd start with for...

The Marshall twins are a joke and that's right, NZ just don't have the depth to be wasting time trying to give fringe players a game or two. But still, we were missing 5 first pick players from this team...no excuses though, we didn't finish the job with the bat and the bowling was to put it...

McCullum is awesome when he is given a license. I think he's gonna go great as an ODI opener. bloody hell, Franklin in at #3???? why not send in Taylor ffs.

    Best Test Captain

I'll be interested to see Ponting's captaincy in tests now that he's lost 2 of the greatest bowlers ever after the Ashes.

NZ should feel relatively confident of beating England. Our test match form is dire at times but generally we can beat every other side except Australia in ODI's and aside from the poor semi match in the Champions Trophy, we played good cricket to beat Pakistan & South Africa.

    Twenty20 or Cricket Max?

If I recall, initially Crowe trialled 4 stumps instead of 3..but then I think they went back to 3 but spaced them out more than the norm in test and ODI cricket. Crowe was certainly trying to allow Supermax to offer something for both Batsmen and Bowlers.

Outstanding Player of the WC '07

The more ODI cricket Bond plays and the more he stays fit, the more dangerous he will be at the World Cup.

***Official*** 4th Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground

Considering that morale will be low, Mahmood might just get a further kick in the pants by not being selected. Even though he was probably only expressing his disappointment, I don't think team management will be bothered with cry babies right now.

Oh god don't remind me about Brett Lee, but I think he was helped by the fact that McGrath was applying large amounts of pressure at the other end. Alot of onous is going to be put on Brett Lee now that he will effectively become #1 spearhead.

    Twenty20 or Cricket Max?

I think Martin Crowe came up with some good ideas with Cricket Max, but the overall package of Twenty20 is much better I believe.
