SA,SL,PAK,NZ Are the 4 big threats in the WC for us- Mike Hussey

So India DON'T need to prove they can win away from home? they've been one of the worst at winning series away from home.

It feels like Nicol has been around for ages and yet he's only 23. He started playing for Auckland as a 19 year old. He's got a very good record of 6 hundreds and 15 half centuries. Definately one of the better FC players around in NZ.

    Best and worst cricket journalists

Worst by a long stretch: Stephen Jones....oh sorry that's rugby.

If i've heard correctly, Colin de Grandhomme could be a future player to watch as well. He'll have another 2 years to go yet because of residency before he can make the BC's but he'll probably need that amount of time anyway, he's still only 20 or 21 I think.

sorry I couldn't find the domestic thread. If a moderator could help me out there that would be kewl. Yeah, obviously Greg Hay has got to do his time but let's hope he doesn't get the 2nd season jitters like Nicol did.

I've been looking through a few new faces this season and one of them kinda surprised me. He's been scoring alot of runs without really catching my attention until now, which might have been a good thing. I have noticed that Greg Hay averages 44.85 in FC, 71.66 in OD and 37 in Twenty20...lol...

SKY New Zealand -not showing non NZ Preliminary games

Why should anyone be pissed off? The games are in the middle of the night here and there is no way they would get the viewers numbers to justify broadcasting a live feed of a non NZ game against a minnow. We just don't have the viewer numbers here to justify it.

SKY New Zealand -not showing non NZ Preliminary games

There really is no need for Sky to broadcast games like Australia vs a minnow team. If they're gonna show Australia v South Africa etc then it's all good.

    Predict World Cup Semi Finalist

Franklin will put in one good bowling performance over 4 or 5 games. Its absolutely gutting we don't have Mills there because he's turned into a pretty consistent opening bowler. Though I'd rather take Franklin over Tuffey as I think both of them are equal with the ball right now but Franklin...

    World Cup Predictions

South Africa have really been talking themselves up, I think they're setting themselves up big time for a horror finish yet again. World Cup Winners: Australia "Big 8" side to perform most poorly: Pakistan Player with most runs: Ricky Ponting Player with best strike-rate: Jacob Oram Player with...

    Where does Ross Taylor rank?

Well they reckon his position is #3. He's batted there for 3 years for Central Districts and NZ were keen to protect him a little in the CB Series so they played him at #4.

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

The Aussies bowled very well in the first 10 overs but then yet again they totally lost the plot. Though one thing that has been missed is that Australia batted 1st every time in this series. I would have liked to have seen 1 game where it was reversed, im still not sure whether NZ can defend...

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

I still have Australia as favourites, but I think it shows just how much they rely on Ponting...also in the field.

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

The Saffies are talking an awful lot at the moment, I think they need to keep their heads down and let their cricket do the talking.

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Congrats to the groundsmen at Eden Park and Hamilton too. Both pitches have been decidedly dodgy in recent times and they produced 2 absolute crackers.

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Easily the best ODI win by an NZ team ever...considering we were 40/4.

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Man we've seen some shocking fielding but we've also seen some outstanding catches...Voges catch was sensational.

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

How on earth did NZ get to this score after being 40/4????? lol.

    Best resource handlers !!

Thats the other thing you have to consider. The English side gets a heck of alot of money pumped into their team whereas I think you'll find New Zealand get wayyyyy less.
