    Euro 2020 General Discussion

Yeah, I'm perfectly happy to see it expanded and to see more countries taking part. But the way they've done it is awful. I've been lucky enough to go to the last two tournaments, and given that I follow a country that hadn't made it for so long pre-2006 I can't really argue against giving more...

    48. They were nearly going to try and push it through for 2022 as well.

Group D - Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Scotland

I thought there'd be a few more tackles flying in from England's attackers as well, they've so much depth there that you don't lose much if you have to pull a player who's on a card.

As much to do with the left back selection I reckon. Rice is spending half his time on the ball distributing from where Mings should be. Croatia are just pressing on one side of the pitch and waiting for England to turn back on the other side.

Ha, the commentary I've got is making out like it's mid-30s at least. Obviously not comfortable but they're all professionals at the end of a season, aerobic fitness should be fine. God knows what we'll have to deal with in Qatar. Really wondering if both sides are just happy to stay this cagey...

It's been a pretty effective way to stop Modric. They don't really look threatened much at all when Croatia are in possession. I feel like it's got England on the ball more in the first place as well. Out of interest how warm is it meant to be there?

Indicates a pecking order in my head though, unless he's worried about his fitness for some reason. I do feel for Sterling, particularly if he ends up spending a lot of time on the left in this game. Could spend a lot of the game very isolated if that's the case.

Chilwell not even in the Matchday squad as well.

    Euro 2020 General Discussion

I think the delay of a year has got me more hyped for it than usual. Feels like a long time since any real meaningful internationals were played.

    Euro 2020 General Discussion

Ha, there's a name I didn't expect to hear today. I actually thought he was going to turn out well as a signing here in Australia, at least from an entertainment point of view. Foreign number 10s with a bit of pedigree tend to have a lot of success in the A-League. As it turned out though...

    Euro 2020 General Discussion

Yeah, but weirdly I think if he picks the right players it might work out for them better than another coach would. Their squad as a whole doesn't impress me in terms of form, there's a lot of players in there who didn't seem to have great seasons from what's been reported and from the bits I've...

I fully expect them to be crap yet still somehow end up in the semi finals.

Post-new years I'll definitely get involved, timing isn't the greatest at the moment. Had a look at signing up for the awards mafia but I would've had absolutely no idea what was going on. Cheers for the bump though

    *Official* NRL 2012 Season thread

The biggest invonvenience I've had is definitely the food issue. It's not a major thing by any means, but once you've spent a full day on the drink and all you've been eating is horrible stadium food, it'd definitely be better to be done earlier. We ended up having dinner around 9:30 or 10...
