The top tier are folks who get talked up as best after Bradman, all with different claims. Does Hutton get talked like that? Not really.

Frankly Smith has a better claim on this front.
Tbf, McGrath isn't talked about among the Greatest bowlers either, many pundits and people rate even Wasim higher

You are talking about 290 wickets obviously a number of them are going to be key bats since he is bowled more in the middle overs. It probably is the similar case with other part time bowlers or batting ARs.

Comparing Kallis to regular bowlers itself doenst make sense. You aren't going to call on Kallis to clean a tail, you call on Kallis in the middle overs as with other fifth bowlers.

But the contentions against his bowling have been more about load. Like this revisionism about Kallis the AR is making him to seem something else he was in his playing days.

This is incredibly disingenuous and not entering into this discussion in good faith.

You say he minnow bullied and what else, but you're presented with the fact that he often went up against and took quality.mid order wickets.

This was also in response to a question you raised with regards to quality of wickets, so it's very appropriate.

He was a valuable asset in all 3 aspects of the game. And as I said earlier, in terms of on the field impact and value to a team, the only player who can be placed above him is Sobers.

And as a response to your criticism of his work load with the ball, again he was well managed to ensure a longer and more productive career with the bat. And the less time he spent bowling, the more he was standing and performing at an ATG level in the most critical outfield position in the game, snaring rockets from his team's bowlers.

No. I did a breakdown of around 30 to 40 recent ATG XIs by peers and pundits and McGraths name was super high, higher than Wasims. Soon he will be the most peer rated pacer ever.

Smith who is not even always rated higher than Virat "5th stump delivery? guide it to the slip" Kohli and Root and Williamson

Dude you are just copying what I am say about you. How unoriginal.

And yes, Kallis minnow bashed, and his batting order representation in wicket is due to his role as support bowler in mid overs. And him being managed for his bowling load just means he couldn't deal with more specialisation in this skill.

Anyways, stop derailing things.

Its funny when I see people are claiming that Viv is underrated now… they’re the same people trying to basically swap him and Hutton from where people previously had them. But nobody talks about how much Hutton is gassed up on here lately.

I mean, you rate Hutton at around the same level as Hammond and Sutcliffe and much higher than Viv, no??

I like both so rate both, I find Viv underrated yeah but I don't know what that has to do with Hutton tbh
