I rate Gavaskar 9th, a majority here rates Gavaskar 9th, even those in the staunchest opposition. Most really have problem with the tier, a.k.a, how close he is to Lara/Viv/Hutton/Smith etc

Yeah....... Exactly this. You had Gavaskar right there and the deal was to move him in the one with Hammond/Headley/Pollock (think he is better than all 3 and belongs in the one above but will take it for now)
