50-60 probably? In his final England series he batted with 51 SR, in 1969 it was also 50, in 1966 England it was 59 but it was the best series of his life, in 1963 England it was 45.

True, but Hutton would cancel that advantage out due to the opener tax imo, opening in England is a far harder job than playing 4-5 on 50s/60s Windies wickets which were generally flat.

Smith seems to have no weakness in his record for now.

I would have rated Hutton higher but compared to the others he faced less ATG bowlers though he played in tougher conditions

Viv easily faced better competition.

I have few issues with Sobers :
1. Playing a higher proportion of matches against Tier B teams but not exactly minnows.
2. That record against NZ. 12 Tests is a significant sample size as well.
