Northern did a really good job of pulling it back for a while, but these last two overs have been brutal - 48 runs and counting.

He's often not lived up to expectations, this night be his career best innings in all formats?
Has a 129 in first class cricket but this looks like his top score in T20 or list A cricket.

I vaguely remember Neesham was asked on here who the biggest hitters he knew were. He replied Corey Anderson and then Tamati Clarke (Katene's older brother).

Hmm ND pulled one out of the fire there. It was the sort of slow and low pitch that one needed to get in on to assess its pace.

I've always found it somewhat interesting that Robbie O'Donnell and Cam Fletcher buck the standard trend of "middle-order Super Smash player with a mediocre record averaging low 20s", both sporting averages in the mid-30s. The one season they were together for Auckland they won the thing.

My impression of O'Donnell at Akl was he seemed to be pretty reliable. Captained the A team with Tom Bruce on a tour to India? Would probably be a solid international. Just checking his stats he has 20 not outs in T20's which is around 27% of his innings. Fletcher has 33 not outs - around 29% of his innings. Dane Cleaver (just as a comparison) has 10 - around 10% of his innings (although I guess he tends to bat higher up).

'There wasn’t quite so much joy for Havelock North’s bowlers against Napier Technical Old Boys. Chasing 205 to win at Nelson Park, Tech got there with nine wickets and 23.5 overs to spare thanks to a first-wicket partnership of 188 between Harrison Woolley (78) and Christian Leopard (114 not out).
It was batting of the highest quality, with Woolley once again demonstrating his unique ability to hit balls destined for the top of off stump through point for four and Leopard stroking the ball to all parts.
Leopard was especially severe on anything full, hitting four sixes and 12 fours in his 86-ball innings.'

Jess Kerr's batting form in this Super Smash has been pretty remarkable. I always thought she'd be a useful lower-order hitter at best for the White Ferns, but maybe she could develop into a proper all-rounder.

Strange scorecard - 56* for Jess, 41 for Melie and no one else reaching 3.

The other Wellington batters who weren't Kerr sisters contributed 4 between them, extras contributed 8.
