Well someone else also voted Vettori after me and I don't think it was trolling.Pretty sure it's a way of protesting against how vague the term "All rounder" is.
Also voted Afridi lol.Well someone else also voted Vettori after me and I don't think it was trolling.
Debatable.you're ruining a good thread
I respect your opinion. Not debatable at all, you add little value to any cricket discussion on allrounders
Something that's very much overrated. Moreover batting down the order is generally when batting becomes easier and bowling as 4th is mostly when bowling becomes difficult.. @subshakerz
@kyear2 we have been instructed not to derail this thread unless talking about ARs in the poll, otherwise I would have been able to tell you that Imran spent most of his career batting 7 and up, not 8, and the 5th bowler hardly bowls as much as the rest so it is in fact easier.Something that's very much overrated.
Batting 8th is the absolute easiest of batting conditions. Depending on scenario, the ball is at its oldest, the bowlers are tired and the early life from the pitch is long gone.
Bowling 4th or 5th slot, you're bowling the dog overs with the spinner, giving the primary guys a rest before the next new ball. You don't get the ball at it's hardest, and if it starts to reverse, the top 3 guys would generally come back on to capitalize on it.
One gets the absolute best of all.scenarios, the other the worst.
So Marshall gets the easiest of batting conditions and easiest of bowling conditions too.Something that's very much overrated.

He is going all the way with the argument. That is commitment. Gotta respect it.
Vettori is definitely an allrounder. Averaged 40 with the bat for 6-7 years and was a mainline bowler who bowled a lot of overs (unfortunately didn't take enough wickets).Well someone else also voted Vettori after me and I don't think it was trolling.
Averaged more with bat than ballAlso voted Afridi lol.
I never voted for Kallis and never will. Most boring cricketer everI respect your opinion.
BTW How far did you go with your 25 average and 2.5 WPM huh? (Guess you changed that as you realized Kallis doesn't fit in)
Respect that. But not just boring but defensiveI never voted for Kallis snd never will. Most boring cricketer ever
40 imo.I was wondering how far we should go with this poll. We have 22 names already with about a dozen genuine contenders still gaining nominations. With Barlow added to the list, despite a relatively low WPM (1.33), there must definitely be a case for other batting all-rounders who were more than useful bowlers but who have low WPM stats.
Should we stop at 30 names or try for 40?

Please stick to the topic.
Again, respectable.I never voted for Kallis and never will. Most boring cricketer ever
30 should do. After that it'll just get messy.I was wondering how far we should go with this poll. We have 22 names already with about a dozen genuine contenders still gaining nominations.
