Grum is better though.and you think Grimmet is better, sad.

Sachin doesn't have 250 plus innings and his best was against Ban.Hayden 380 and Sachin 248 aren't respected.Murali best in match is 16 wickets. They do big stuffs in more matches than Lara or Kumble but Kimble and Lara fluctuate a lot.Lara’s 400* or Laker’s 19 wickets are fantastic feats but involves being brilliant on one day.
Sachin Tendulkar or Muttiah Muralitharan have some important records that involve being good for many years and that’s a bigger deal in my opinion.
Very true. Surprisingly he topped the 1st class wicket tables for 2-3 years before debuting for NZ.Just that the poor guy can't get a wicket (literally) at home.....
Nah Laker got itGrum is better though.
I can never rate the 400 that high because it denied his team a chance at a win for the sake of a record.Kumble also has an important record that is 10 wickets. But off course it is not equal to Lara 400
tbf England were folded for less than 300 and Windies had 140 overs to bowl out England, it was definitely winnableI can never rate the 400 that high because it denied his team a chance at a win for the sake of a record.
Lara got his record around Day 3. On a batting pitch that doesn't leave enough time to bowl out England. There wasn't a justification to bat until 750.tbf England were folded for less than 300 and Windies had 140 overs to bowl out England, it was definitely winnable
Yousuf was a softie.Yousuf or Hayden.
Both were ruthless when set, but not the best in sticking it out in difficult conditions.
what are your thoughts on his Windies series in 2000Yousuf was a softie.
Not convinced Flower is better than Hayden and Chanderpaul.Bottom 5 with 5000+ runs imo (should had the criteria in place):
Michael Hussey - 76
Mohammad Yousuf - 69 (nice)
Matthew Hayden - 51
Shivnarine Chanderpaul - 49
Andy Flower - 39
Flower is too good to be here, but the bowler's had it WAY rougher.
Fair ig. I rate Flower REALLY highly, like around Boycott, Kanhai, May, Kohli and Harvey. Not convinced Flower is better than Hayden and Chanderpaul.
slide him to the bottom of that listFair ig. I rate Flower REALLY highly, like around Boycott, Kanhai, May, Kohli and Harvey.
Yeah he is around the bottom of that groupslide him to the bottom of that list
Flower was definitely high quality and the goat from the Ban/Zim tier imo but I don't think he's proven enough v good pace attacks to rank above players like Kohli and Boycott. Obviously it is a shame and unfair that he didn't get the same opportunities but can't judge on hypotheticals. Hayden opened in all 184 innings, was a beast in the type of conditions Flower excelled in, and Chanderpaul has extreme longevity to go with output that Flower doesn't overwhelm.Fair ig. Tbf he’s not rating Flower above Kohli and Boycott. He rates him below those two but in the same tier I think.Flower was definitely high quality and the goat from the Ban/Zim tier imo but I don't think he's proven enough v good pace attacks to rank above players like Kohli and Boycott. Yeah I'd disagree and would put Hayden&Chanderpaul above him but each to their own.Tbf he’s not rating Flower above Kohli and Boycott. He rates him below those two but in the same tier I think.
Mixed. Decent attack but the pitches weren't that hard.what are your thoughts on his Windies series in 2000
