Cricketer Of The Year
I think anything over 145k is true express and Morris is beating that mark frequently tonight.
Better yet he should sort out his last few strides and become a true express. He did work up to these speeds in the Manuka ODI. Then he picked up a side strain and didn't play for months.Morris needs to bring these speeds to internationals if he wants to stick around. Not true express but he looks plenty quick in the last few games
Hes extremely injury prone, similar to Hazlewood. Dont think hes test material. We need someone like Boland who atleast bowls ~135kph and doesnt break down every game.Better yet he should sort out his last few strides and become a true express. Richardson is quicker (& better) with a chronic shoulder issueI think anything over 145k is true express and Morris is beating that mark frequently tonight.
If it wasn't for his IPL season I'd have said that hundred was a Charles Coventry-esque one-off. Apparently all he needs are grounds with the same pitch difficulty and outfield size as Karen Rolton Oval.Someone posted this previously and it might turn out to be true
It’s entirely possible that JFM earns millions in India while being without a contract in Australia
He’s not very good
If he manages to do this year in the IPL what he did last year then I will dramatically lower my estimation of that competition's qualitySomeone posted this previously and it might turn out to be true

Wasn't that also the era of list management shenanigans? I remember someone here once mentioning Tye was on a big state contract (when he almost never played in the Sheffield Shield) to get around the salary cap.
well you may note that Andrew Tye debuted as a Sydney Thunder player prior to being a contracted Western Australia player (albeit he played in the domestic OD cup that summer, but this was in the era where it was nearly completely unjustifiable to pick a white ball specialist in your state squad). Then in 2014-2015 he was indeed a signed WA player, and continued to be for years afterwards. And wouldn't you know, he became a Perth player too. One claim was that his state contract was worth as much as his BBL contract, which itself was under what other teams would likely offer him. Another claim was that he agreed to return to the Thunder, and then got told his opportunities with WA may be at risk if he does that. The other stories were D'Arcy Short agreeing to a deal with Hobart, and then attempting to back out of it, and Hilton Cartwright, having not been contracted by Perth, preferring to be an uncontracted reserve player for Perth rather than sign somewhere else for a seasonYeah I think this was the time where the NSW/Vic teams complained constantly that the one-team states had a huge advantage because of that.
More scores than ever over 200 last year, helped of course by the sub rule. But pitches were stupidly in favour of the batters. It's kind of the perfect comp for someone who just hits blindly through the line.If he manages to do this year in the IPL what he did last year then I will dramatically lower my estimation of that competition's quality
