Well, to be honest, if we are to play 4 proper fast bowlers, the side I posted earlier with Pant for Jurel and Washy for NKR would be the best bet.

I mean, in an ideal world, I would drop Virat and play this side -

Jaiswal, Rahul, Washy, Gill, Pant (wk), NKR, Jaddu, Harshit, Bumrah, Siraj, Prasidh.

But given Virat has to play for whatever commercial or non-cricketing reason it is, I would rather see..

Its fine as long as Prasidh can bowl decently long spells.

You do seem to have plenty of decent players, albeit finding many in form is a challenge. I wonder if at this stage of this tour the main thing for this team is finding 11 players who will come together and truly back each other to put in a real scrapping, cornered tigers efforts. In other words, that character and sense of team counts as much as talent, form etc in this particular situation?

He had no choice. He was always a very average test batsman. It's a joke that he fooled the Indian selectors for so long. That Australia are 2-1 is solely down to him. The much maligned Babar Azam is a comfortably better batsman than this bloke.

I would give Virat one last chance cause he is atleast a test batter unlike Rohit, and it he can do anything in this test then he can **** off.

Deep also rested for injury- Prasidh comes in. Gill drops to no.6, Sundar up to no.3. The consistent Jurel goes in at no.5 possibly.
