Have way more faith in them than our batting.Seales looks promising though. First time I've had hope in a while.

The batting is atrocious and comical. How on earth has Braithwaite played as many tests as he has and he still sucks. And he's sad to say, our best batsman..Have way more faith in them than our batting.
no I would rate him higher. Anyone who doesn’t is a moron.Spare me the violin. Nobody would blame Bumrah. But would you rate him the same? No.
Ponting stretched his career for the same reason but gets bashed for that average drop.no I would rate him higher. Anyone who doesn’t is a moron.
only by morons who neither understand cricket or mathPonting stretched his career for the same reason but gets bashed for that average drop.
Whether we like it or not, numbers play a huge role in the minds of many.Ponting stretched his career for the same reason but gets bashed for that average drop.
This is the bane of civilizationThere are people on social media who feel Kallis or Sanga is superior to Sachin, Lara & Viv because of their better averages.
Seems like we are at absolute zenith of Bumrah and should enjoy the show as long as it lasts.Whether we like it or not, numbers play a huge role in the minds of many.
Virat used to be compared to the likes of Dravid and even Gavaskar but now he is being compared to Graeme Smith.
There are people on social media who feel Kallis or Sanga is superior to Sachin, Lara & Viv because of their better averages.
Steve Smith was/is one of the best ever batsmen but when he had that average of 60+, he was seen in a higher position than now.
If Bumrah was averaging an excellent 21 instead of 19, he would still be considered great but touching that mythical 19 gives him an aura.
Only relative to those who stretched their careers and still delivered.Ponting stretched his career for the same reason but gets bashed for that average drop.
But in the example I gave, Bumrah would stretch his career by being a 27/28 averging bowlerOnly relative to those who stretched their careers and still delivered.
Relative to anyone that stretched his career to a similar length but produced better results it will be right to rate Bumrah lower. But in the example I gave, Bumrah would stretch his career by being a 27/28 averging bowler
Forget social media, there are active posters on this forum that believe Kallis and Sangakkara, not to mention (I believe) Barrington, are better than Viv because of averages.Whether we like it or not, numbers play a huge role in the minds of many.

That's my point.Relative to anyone that stretched his career to a similar length but produced better results it will be right to rate Bumrah lower.
So you understand why Ponting's rating suffers relative to likes Tendulkar and Kallis? That's my point.
Its never been specifically about averages, and you know that. Don’t be disingenuous.Forget social media, there are active posters on this forum that believe Kallis and Sangakkara, not to mention (I believe) Barrington, are better than Viv because of averages.
So let's not just throw this only on the mindless masses.
Ken Barrington may have 1/100th the fame or stature or hype of Viv Richards but he is no less than him as a batsman.(I believe) Barrington, are better than Viv because of averages
What else then? Its never been specifically about averages, and you know that. Don’t be disingenuous.
First time reading his posts?Don’t be disingenuous.
