*Official* New Zealand tour of India 2024

If I were India I'd try and prepare the pitch to be as Australian as possible, both to get ready for the upcoming tour and to ensure a confidence building win. So bouncy and true on days 1-3, gradually wearing to a minefield by day 5.
Trying to think of the last time an Australian pitch wore 'into minefield on day 5'

What’s the NZ mindset? Take the foot off the gas and rest some players or go all out and try to secure an unprecedented 3-0 and get more WTC points on the off chance we make the final?

What’s the thinking of NZ posters on here? Do you see this as a free hit with no pressure or do you really want to win?

Given the only guys you'd be worried about fitness wise for the upcoming summer either didn't play last week or bowled about 5 or 6 overs across 3 days, I'd say resting anybody probably isn't necessary.

Santner obviously a big loss. Pressure on Ajaz and Sodhi to not **** the bed in what will be favourable conditions. Likely to be last chance saloon for both of them.
Tour to Zimbabwe in July with a new coach. They'll really need to perform.

Look I don't want to rub it in or anything, but I've done some #stats on New Zealand test tours of India in the last ten years and the numbers on the toss make for some pretty interesting reading.

Win rate after winning the toss:
India = 67%
NZ = 100%

Guys I think we may actually be better in India than India are. I know this will make for some uncomfortable reading, but what can I say, the stats don't lie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A big loss for us with MOTM Santner out but that gets evened out with Bumrah out for India, hopefully Sodhi can deliver and fill Santner's big shoes.

Henry back in for Southee should at least give us a lift in the pace bowler department.
