Undoubtedly imo. He was (and still is, or at least could be) a huge asset to AEW. But he's been extremely over-exposed for the last few years, and could do with a sit on the sidelines for a while.
Also, the whole learning tree gimmick is absolutely annoying AF.

Tbf that is a match between two ATGs who were always Jericho's in-ring superiors (and who at the time were basically at their peak), so it's not the fairest of comparisons.
That said, Jericho's technical proficiency from earlier in his career is pretty underrated imo. Definitely a brawler these days though.

Jericho is an excellent point of comparison for emphasising just how excellent the likes of Guerrero, Benoit and Angle really were though.
E.g., There's a fatal four way match from No Way Out 2001 involving Jericho, X-Pac, Benoit and Guerrero. Jericho and Waltman are two wrestlers who I would rate as comfortably above average in terms of their in-ring ability (certainly at that time anyway), but they absolutely couldn't get close to Benoit and Eddie in that match. You can see they're absolutely busting their asses and only just about managing to keep up with them. Benoit and Eddie just doing their thing like it's as easy as walking the dog. They really were that good.

I wasn’t really intending to make a fair comparison tbh. They were just complete masters of their game
I do think Angle was better than Benoit. Might be a minority opinion though

Never quite got Jericho, Christian, or Edge for that matter. They're all obviously very solid, reliable workers and far from shabby on the mic but...I don't know, I compare their "legendary" status with other bonafide legends who were their predecessors/contemporaries (Hart, Taker, Michaels, Austin, Rock, Angle, Benoit, Eddie, Lesnar) and they sort of are just there without excelling the others in any one department. I suppose they are wrestling's version of ATVG. Is that a fair categorization?
Sad about Sid. I first watched him as Sid Justice which to this day is one of the coolest in-ring names. There used to be a trend in India in the early 90s for wrestling postcards (trump cards too). This is long before the commercialization of wrestling, especially outside the States, so you had to do a fair amount of recce to get what you were after. I had quite the collection which I'd pasted onto a notebook (with a wrestling schoolbook cover no less). Still have it back home I think with a few pages dedicated to Sid.

I think it probably is tbh. I love all of them, but they're not (quite) on the same tier as the others you mention, or other really top guys like Cena or Reigns imo.
