BARNES OUT
This was brought in ages ago iirc because the easiest way to win by miles was to simply spend like two thirds of the race underwater and not have to do any actual backstroke until the very last bit of the lap.
He also really only won the heat because he spent 5m longer underwater than his competitors

Love the camaraderie at the end between them all. Are Wilde and Yee training mates, they seemed particularly good buddies even before the start.

Wow. Stunned by the triathlon. Where did Yee find that kick? Amazing. Well done to him, but gutted for Wilde who looked to have done a perfect run for 98% of it.

So close to a 2nd gold today after the women's 7s this morning.

Lot of those guys train together

There’s training hubs around the world and few spend much time at home

Wow. What a race the women's quad sculls was. GB pulled it from nowhere to beat Dutch in a photo.

Check the medal table Burgey

Haha, that was a late charge. Perfectly timed I guess but you'd be devastated if in the Dutch crew.

I like the idea of the Brisbane triathlon swim being in the sea with the sharks and crocs.
Crocs are up north but we have plenty of other biting things to keep it interesting

Can't remember GB ever being ahead of the US in the Medal table, but 2 golds ahead now.....although probably won't last once the women's gymnastics team sweep the board for all the individual apparatus.
They reckon we have 3 or 4 more gold prospects in rowing. Happy days after getting none in Tokyo
