He was obviously awful in his first Ashes, which he had no business being at. And last year couldn’t buy a wicket. He’s somewhere around the 30 mark for the rest of the time in the Ashes which certainly doesn’t support the idiotic narrative you chip on shoulder merchants try and sustain about him being crap in the Ashes.

He would say himself that Broad was the better Ashes bowler. But that’s neither here nor there.

Averaging 30 over a career (which you only reach by conveniently ignoring the worst series') is still bad for a supposed "great" bowler. Over a massive sample too so not like you can blame that. Just accept it brother

Nah, the dummies are pointing to Anderson’s average and saying it’s proof he was bad in the Ashes. My point is that he was V bad in his first Ashes and last year but an overall average tells us little. It’s more that I reject this idea he was never good in the Ashes. But it’s the same gang of buffoons desperately clinging to what they can because they have deep rooted insecurity about England producing a legend.
