The Aussie conspiracy about some of the spares being pre COVID batches may not be far wrong.

As funny as that ball change was it was shockingly bad from the umpires.

I was just about to praise Pope as being the next Ian Bell and then he gets out after making a pretty fifty.

So my point still stands, he really is the next Ian Bell, he didn't convert enough of his pretty fifties into tons.

Ehh, balls have been shite but the batches haven't all been the same degree of bad. The first summer mccullum came in they used a weird one that moved around corners like the 2019 batch for 10 overs then did absolutely nothing afterwards. The batch during the ashes following that where way worse.
