And then he destroyed England in the home series in 93 or 94.It doesn't seem fair. Everyone is not supposed to spin the ball as much as Warne.

Worthy Kumble was one of the spinners Lara couldn’t conquerWas it Lloyd who said "He ain't an issue. Has not turned a single ball" on Anil Kumble.
This was Lloyd from England, not Clive.Worthy Kumble was one of the spinners Lara couldn’t conquer
Unfortunately many here are under the misunderstanding that Lara was great against all spin. He himself said he struggled against flatter spinners like Kumble and Saqlain because they didn't toss up the ball.Worthy Kumble was one of the spinners Lara couldn’t conquer
Nobody thought that about McGrath in the 2000s.McGrath, Garner etc. underrated as well. Both were seen as a supportive bowler to Warne and Marshall respectively. Kinda of unfair to McGrath especially.
Who even rated Brett Lee though?Would like to mention Brett Lee in the overrated side.
Oh, bumbling Lloyd, not legendary captain Lloyd. That makes sense. This was Lloyd from England, not Clive.
Though I don't get what Lara has done to Subs, Lara did said that he found facing Kumble the most difficult among spinners.I love this new fanfic that Lara struggled against Kumble and Saqlain and apparently said something about it as well.
Meanwhile, Kumble said he was the best batter he bowled too and was a genius whom he found very difficult to keep quiet, forgetting getting out.
He basically said he preferred spinners who tossed it up, as he preferred to use his feet to get down the track. The flatter ones kept him in his crease more.I love this new fanfic that Lara struggled against Kumble and Saqlain and apparently said something about it as well.

Ahh, once it's not just me.Though I don't get what Lara has done to Subs, Lara did said that he found facing Kumble the most difficult among spinners.
He said it somewhere here.
That is not the same as saying he found it tough to face "flat spinners". And I dont think he particularly found Kumble difficult, though he may well have found him the most difficult spinner to face.Though I don't get what Lara has done to Subs, Lara did said that he found facing Kumble the most difficult among spinners.

I meant Lara found Kumble tougher than Warne and Murali. Lara is my favourite batter ever and very likely the best player of spin ever. That is not the same as saying he found it tough to face "flat spinners". And I dont think he particularly found Kumble difficult, though he may well have found him the most difficult spinner to face.
Dude, no need to get butt hurt. Here is Lara disagreeing with you and admitting his problem with flat spinners:That is not the same as saying he found it tough to face "flat spinners". And I dont think he particularly found Kumble difficult, though he may well have found him the most difficult spinner to face.
I'm agreeing with you. That is not the same as saying he found it tough to face "flat spinners". And I dont think he particularly found Kumble difficult, though he may well have found him the most difficult spinner to face.
Please see above. It's not just Kumble.I'm agreeing with you.
I coincidentally saw the interview yesterday. Please see above. It's not just Kumble.
I like how HB is silent now.I coincidentally saw the interview yesterday.
Gupte worth a shout. Sobers thought he was better than Warne.Gooch called him better than Warne
On overrated by Sobers, I present Mahadevan Sathasivam. Sobers called him "The Greatest Batsman ever on Earth" and Worrell called him "The Greatest Batsman I have ever seen", allegedly.Harold Larwood
