The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

You have to draw a line somewhere though otherwise Ryan Harris is playing in the Aus ATG XI. And Mitch Johnson is ahead of McGrath and Hadlee
I'm talking about players that had a significant career and then declined because they played on too long thus destroying their averages (Botham, Viv, Ponting, even Tendulker).

Harris and Johnson never did that, they just had some better periods of form during their career like most players do

A few of those like Viv look like they still had net-positive figures for their team tbf.

Yes, still good for team but Richards was averaging 55-60 most of his career so down to 36 in last 2 years was a huge drop off for his own record

The imperialist scum deserved it am I right
I look at Europe (particularly England) like a Coin - One Side of the Coin is Imperialist Scum as you said and other side of the coin the place where Scientific Advancement took place rapidly in 19th and 20th century. So its difficult to say if their legacy is positive or negative but definitely they were the driving force.

Imran Khan was easily the better bowler but Kapil Dev was also great and had some genuinely good innings vs them.... Also am pretty shocked seeing Hadlee actually averaged 30+ against them. Definitely very close, especially between the first two.
